Got 2 calls already from this number in the past week,
leaving a broken up message in my voicemail. It really
sucks getting junk messages from these type of calls.

Where is area code 702 from anyway?

"my warranty on my vehicle was about to expire."  I don't drive, no one in my family owns a vehicle.  When I asked how they got my cell phone number, he said a phone number that is not anywhere close to my number.

So cell phones aren't safe anymore?  Man, this is getting to be too much now...getting calls about vehicle warranties when I dont drive...then they have the guts to make up a story about one of my friends referring me to them...any friend that would give your number to a call centre isn't what I would consider a friend.  Anyhow...this is a scam...just like all the others...companies like this just prey on gullible people, and the sad part is, they actually make money......

Got one tonight at 8:35 PM MST. Didn't answer it... it was on my cell phone (likely because I made the mistake of putting my cell number on the Canadian Do Not Call list--which sells out it's lists to everyone and anyone apparently).

Got 2 calls from them today. First call I hit 0 on my phone and the call disconnected. Second call I waited for the Options and hit the number to connect to an operator. When I asked for the name and address of the company she said she had to ask me a few questions first. I told her she had to give me her Company name and phone number first. She repeated what she said, I repeated what I said and she hung up on me.

Read this, please:

Why are attackers turning to phone phishing? Because it's easy and it works. Attackers rely on plentiful and disposable VoIP service, along with free, open-source PBX software, such as Asterisk, which can be used to set up those annoying but professional sounding interactive voice prompts. Thus, phone phising is also cheap. Using these technologies, attackers can establish a virtual phone presence from any country in the world using a local telephone number with VoIP forwarding the call overseas, mimicking the features of a legitimate financial services institution located in the United States or Europe.
And finally, to help bring the bad guys to justice, you can report suspicious email and voice mails to the FBI (via the Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov) and/or the Federal Trade Commission at spam@uce.gov. Alternatively, report phishing to the Anti-Phishing Working Group at reportphishing@antiphishing.org. This group does a wonderful job in reporting on phishing-related fraud, as well as getting phishing sites taken down.

i have been receiving calls on my cell phone (my provider is Rogers) from different numbers throughout california and this one. The california ones include 559-427-4535,916-219-8163, 949-256-9160 and an 805 number.  I am located within Ontario and so I found this odd. Like previously mentioned, they call and do not leave a voicemail which seems rather unprofessional.I called these numbers back and it just rings, there is no mention of a company name and eventually someone picks up saying "would you like to hear about your trip to cancun" i ask to have my name removed off the calling list and they hang up. I tried this 3X and all 3 times they hung up.... obviously a scam...but def annoying

Been getting several calls from this number over the past few days, days and nights both, on my cell phone. Same for my father, he's been getting them too. I'm in 416 and he's 905, we're both with Telus.

Today around 11:20am was the first time a message was left, but it was garbled and unintelligible.

Thanks to Tom I've sent them notice to place my number and my father's on their DNC list. Any further calls from them will be met with excessive force (read: lawyers and/or cops).
