Telemarketer called me on my cell phone

If everyone turns them in to the Do Not Call Registry eventually they will get caught!

I've been getting the warranty call on my cell... my father told me that they have been calling my house in GA, too. I go to school in Boston. I'm just wondering if there is any common factor on to how they got our numbers. My dad thought it may be something important so the next time they called I pressed to talk to some one. A guy answered and I asked him what it was about b/c I don't even drive but he hung up. I don't even see what benefit they get from this b/c it seems like all they do is call ppl and hang up on them. I think it is also connected to another phone # I just made a comment on:



I received an absurd call from this #4029820689. It said that if was the final notice to lower my credit card rate, which I don't own a credit card. I pressed 1 to speak to someone to get my # off the list. Some guy gets on the phone saying its 1800-sextalk. I hung up on the a**hole. Does anyone know how # get on these list?

Where are the government, the law enforcement, the FBI, the communication commission, the whatnot agency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????    What the heck they are doing in the Congress.  Just whole bunch of bulls and get nothing done.  These a**holes telephone scammers have been around for tooooooooo long.  They need to be busted not another minute after.  They belong to the prison forever.

auto warranty.  "this is your second notice that your auto warranty is about to expire."

They have repeatedly called me about my "factory warranty" for a car that is paid off and 12 years old. After the 15th time of them calling me I pressed one to talk to someone. I told them to take me off the calling list, she told me they would. They have since called three more times. The most recent, today, I pressed one again and reached a man. I told him that I wanted to speak to a floor supervisor, when told no I informed him that I was filing a complaint with the BBB and the FTC (Federal Trade Comission). He then told me he was sorry and that they would not call back. I have filed complaints with everyone I can, and even called my wireless carrier to obtain records of all the calls they made to me. As I am in Law Enforcement in Louisiana I am able to file criminal charges for Harrassement and violating the FTC Do-Not-Call registry. I advise everyone else to do the same. I will post my outcome in the days following.

I always reject the calls from area codes I don't recognize.  Then look them up on this site.  My phone has a nice "add number to reject list" feature and I add the number.  At least next time the weasels will have to use a different phone number to call and bother me.

i contacted the f.b.i. they said they cant investigate because these people change their number periodically its a bogus number they told me to call the better buisness bureau im calling them a.s.a.p. tomorrow morning and if that fails the lady at the f.b.i. told me that the phone company also has their own investigators working for the police and they should be able to investigate this issue further

i have connected several times one guys name is jacob he is the one who hangs up on me when i ask for a manager or supervisor to remove my name off the list the female was nice i asked her politely to remove our numbers from their list and sure enough ten minutes later i get another call im sick of it

I was asked if I wanted to extend the warranty on my car. I said sure, in case we get disconnected what extension can I reach you at. ext.505 he said. Whats your name - Joe Smith. He had an accent so I doubt it. He said he was calling from the factory warranty division. How did you get my cell phone#? From the factory records. A lie because I never give my cell# out.

Some bu***hit car warranty crap. Very annoying. They started blocking their number now, so it shows up as "private call"

My complaint is the same as all of the above...they call non-stop and hang up on you if you question them about anything, even as simple as their name.
I'm looking into filing a complaint with consumer protection and encourage everyone to do the same.

Same old, same old.  Keep calling my cell phone and telling me my auto warranty (which I don't have!) will expire soon.  Sometimes I get similar voicemails...  Not much to do about these pitiful people, except to know that they will get their's one day.  What goes 'round...

Try not to let it upset you too much.  Just hang up and get back to your previous thoughts as quickly as you can.  They aren't worth your minutes, or your thoughts!

anyone know how to remove this problem?

said they were calling in reference to an extended warranty program for my vehicle because factory warranty expired. The only vehicle I have is less than 6 months old. Informed them my number was registered on ntn do not call list and the idiot said "im going to keep calling you". Hopefully he will go to sleep tonight and never wake up!

Calling me several times in a row, sometimes late at night. When I answer no one is there. I'm not calling back, I don't know what it is all about.

Rings in several times a week. No one on line.

These guys really are annoying. They keep calling and sometimes leaving messages, which causes me to burn up minutes checking my voicemail.

Y is this person continuing to call me? I keep pressing 1 to be removed from the list. I'm going to file a law suit.... This a** is taking up my valuable minutes....

I travel for work in Africa (but live in the states) and my cell phone rings here. They keep calling me to renew the warranty on a car I don't own. Next time I will give their number to some Nigerians who will make their life miserable!

I've been getting these calls for almost a month now. I answered once and then after that I stopped answering. I think there is a class action lawsuit in progress does any one have any information about it? The calls are truly annoying I've recieved calls at 9 in the morning, and plenty during of times during classes.

I got several calls that my car warranty is expired and I don't have a car.. Scam!!

How do we stop these canned calls?
