Automated call said my car warranty was about to expire. I don't have a car. Must be a random caller.
This is a scam 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
they're making the rounds using this number, which is based in Nevada. they tell you your vehicle warranty is expiring, but of course it's not.
Irate 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
This car warranty telemarketing is a pain! My car is 9 years old! I've been getting calls on my home number for months but am now getting them on my cell phone! I pay for the air time on this!!!!
Adrian 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
These idiots, called me, i answer, an answering machine responds, and informs me that my car warranty is expiring, and to hold on for a representative. I wait for 10 min (roaming charges), and the idiot starts asking me about my car. I ask the guy what company he works for, he pretends that he didnt hear and he tells me my number is on his list. I told him that this is not possible and that i am a Canadian citizen and my waranty is with the dealership, he still refuses to answer my question, enventually he hangs up the phone. I call the dealership and they swear on their business that they did not give my Phone number away, and this is not how they do business, and they assured me my warranty is good.
I think i know how these morons got my number, these looser entrepeneurs in detroit, that are really following you just to get your number so that they update databases.

I have the exact same case as Irate today. I answered the call, there was answering, then representitive and was never convinced. I live in Canada and have my own car worranty.
BIG BALLS 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
Same thing. Waste of time. I didn't pick up b***hes, how do you feel?
Roy 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
it looks like someone is hired for calling around so they can get pay from phone companys
Tom 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
Same thing as above. Got an automated message giving me a choice to ask for a rep or be removed from the list. Well, that was a no brainer... I didn't even think twice about it being legit. They gave no representation from any company, any knowledge of my vehicle ... and who ever heard of a renewable warranty on a car? That's just bonkers. Google "renew car warranty" and ALL you'll find are links to warnings about scammers. Ha. This brings me back to emails about some mysterious photos that I should look at or some guy from Africa/China/Ridiculoustown that wants to transfer billions of dollars to my account. Yeah. Really.
Amber 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
I got a call from the same number today on my cell. I didn't answer it though cause I didn't know who it was. I'm glad I didn't answer it; it sounds like that call would've been a waste of my time.
Bill 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
Car warranty scam.
Anna 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
they called me today at 6:30am...I didn't get a chance to answer but I've spoken with them before and it is 100% scam.
paula 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
They call me all the time, sometimes twice in one day. And on my cell phone, no less. At least once a month, or once every two weeks.
Geni 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
I got a call from this number telling me they want to secure my credit cards. I had gotten this previously and selected option 2 to be removed but they just keep calling. I selected option 1 this time and got a human and when I started to tell her that I had previously asked to be removed, she just hung up on me right in the middle of my sentence. When I call back, it tells me I have an invalid number.
phlemb 2011-06-06 20:54:28 Unknown
never answered it , some idiots appear to have nothing better to do than making random long distant calls
Sue 2010-10-10 05:43:56 Unknown
I got a call from this number this afternoon but I dont answer calls from numbers I dont know. So I hit ignore but they did not leave a voicemail. These calls are really annoying!!
TS 2010-10-10 02:57:11 Unknown
Some pre recorded message started leaving message on my answer machine about some stimulas making life insurance now affordable for me & my family. I just hung the phone up.
Call came from Las Vegas at 9 AM something my time, which no real solicitor is going to be calling at their time.
dj 2009-08-05 18:41:13 Unknown
Received a call which stated 'press one to lower the rate on your credit card. This is your last notice.' Of course there was no mention of what credit card. I hung up.
Nenette 2009-08-05 14:38:11 Unknown
Received a call from 1-720-520-9180 but I didn't answer. Message left was about an interest rate.
Lorash 2009-08-05 14:21:52 Unknown
My voicemail picks up half of an automated message saying something nebulous about "interest rates".
I receive the call once or twice a week and now get to about three syllables into it before I hit the key to delete.
It seems to alternate between "Name Unavailable" and "Omaha, NE", which are both reasons unto themselves to not pay it any heed. ;)

"Your vehicle warranty may have expired" i got the same call, so did my sisters and dad.

This number just called but I didn't recognize it so I didn't answer. I'm glad I didn't. There was actually a thing on the news a few days ago about this. I figured that would make them stop but apparently not.
From Ottawa 2009-02-20 21:41:12 Unknown
Got a "missed call" from 702-520-9180 on Feb. 12.
Canadoh 2009-02-20 18:00:22 Unknown
Heh, I was thinking something along similar lines, lol. My family plan is with Rogers and they've got this shiny new feature called "Call Manager," where for $5 a month you can set up a block on up to 100 phone numbers.
Every once in a while, I get to thinking that Rogers sold all four of our cell phone numbers to this 702 spammer just so that we'd call in and order their new feature.
It um... worked. :( We've got two months free, but I'm now looking at $20 extra a month on our phone bill for this Call Manager to keep this number (and any future others) from harrassing us anymore.

OCS 2009-02-15 16:24:30 Unknown
This number called my cellphone on 2/13/2009, but since I didn't recognize the area code I didn't answer it. Based on what I'm seeing here, I'm glad I ignored them.
dlish 2009-02-13 21:38:17 Unknown
called me 3 times today on my cell- I'm in Ontario as well.
ToniM 2009-02-13 20:45:20 Unknown
Just got me as well. I am in Ontario Canada
Ripley 2009-02-13 20:26:33 Unknown
Same as those above regarding warranty. I have had this a few times on my land line and now on my cell phone.
