Someone is calling from (702)553-2739 in Las Vegas, claiming to be from Meeting Maker. The caller wants the answerer to give him their email address so they can "update their records." The caller says that he will be calling each and every employee, since "many of you have changed your email addresses without notifying your administrators, thus preventing automatic updates." We assume this is a phishing scam and have not given out any email addresses.

These are slimy duplicitous lying people trying to trick you to buy something through the use of false information.

Please report these people to authorities. It seems they are running a scam. Trying to sell extended car warranty. I didn't ever make request for this service. I don't know how these creeps obtained my telephone number.

Just got a weird call from this guy. He knew my name, make and model of my automobile and wanted to sell me an extended warranty, however the problem is I already purchased an extended warranty from the dealership. The gentleman was acting deceitful and odd on the phone. I'm not going to give them anything and I would suggest everyone else do the same.

number just called my house, we didn't answer because it did not show on caller ID [Unknown Name]... google'd the number/area code and found this page along with Las Vegas area code.

Caller left no message. I called the number back and got a busy signal. The area code is Vegas. Sketchy.

Call left on my voicemail was strange to say the least. It sounded like a recording of a conversation that went: "Hello, may I speak to Mr. or Mrs. Temple please?" "Mr. Alexander Temple please". Then a lady responds "Who?". Then an answering machine says "Please leave a message after the tone". Then, I hear some gunshot sounds, and a man says, "Are you still there?". Weird.

BEWARE OF THIS NUMBER
A man with a heavy accent calls and states that he needs to speak with a member of IT. When I asked for a specific name, he states that he doesn't have one and that it is important that he speak with someone from IT concerning a issue with either a piece of hardware or software. I tell him that he needs to tell me specifics and he cannot. So, I basically tell him that he's not talking to anyone, period. He's called a couple of times now and each time I go through the same thing with him. It's a total social engineering attack. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY INFO.

This number called me and several other people at my institution. The caller wanted to know if I still used MeetingMaker and wanted to verify my e-mail address. What was most scary is that _they_already_knew_it_ ! Someone else who received a call identified the entity as "Target"
