this company keeps calling my nmbr but no one answeres and if you try to call it back it comes up a non working nmbr.they need to be stopped....

Payback is a b*tch.  Call the number back press *8 to transfer to another extension.  Hit 25#.  Will go to extension for Len Fernandez alleged GM.  Give him a piece of your mind.  Or just call and don't say anything like they do.  Drives them nuts.  Extension 22 is training and marketing.  Had a fun conversation with the stupid c*nt that does that.  Talked about she need to find a new job if she trains people to just call repeated and never say anything.

Get calls frequently from this number and several other numbers looking for a female with initial LS. Caller twice identify himself as INS officer but most of the time refuse to id self just keep asking for LS  even after he was told it was the wrong number.

same thing...this week plus....I don't have cablevision....they said when I answer one time "you are on the do not call list"...I said yes and then a hour later they called back again..I didn't answer...very annoying

now they got me 4 x yesterday 1x today..comes up THIS WEEK PLUS ....ON the caller ID .they hang up in your ear no messages I called them back and left annoying messages and also reported 5x to do not call

You are probably a Cablevision customer- they own Newsday and you are receiving these calls to solicit Newsday service. Newsday does not have to honor any Do Not Call Registry, because you have or are doing business with Cablevision, the parent company. You need to opt out of Cablevision using your phone number.
Here are the numbers to stop Cablevision from calling you or mailing you info regarding products or sending your info to 3rd party vendors-

Do Not Disclose - 1-888-425-2089

You will be required to enter your phone number, the one on your Cablevision account. This should stop the phone calls and any other mailings soliciting their products.

the most annoying. never a message; no response if picked up before answer machine kicks in and that means never as I've had plenty of opportunities w/ their calling 4 - 6 times a day for the last 3 days. searching shows this SAME number has been used for over 2 years and connected to the Long Island daily Newsday. The caller ID name changed once or twice, but always led to them. What happened to the do not call list? Is anyone enforcing consumer regulation and protection out there?

- my home phone service provider here in NY - Verizon Fios - did put a single number block on this #. Kudos and thanks to them.

- Newsday was once a very respectable daily paper, but has been a piece of garbage for the last 20 years.

I've gotten 4 calls this afternoon from them. How can I report it? I'm on the no call list as well.

In my posting I neglected to include that the CID rported that the caller was "This Week Plus"

I just got a call from this number. Today is Thursday July 28 2011 and the time of the ring-in, according to the CID information was EXACTLY 12 Noon
The answering machine picked up the call but no one from the calling number spoke a word. That's it!

They call every night and never leave a message. I am on a no call list. I called them back, told them I am on a no call list, there are fines involved for them if they continue.

It's a telemarketing company calling 3-4 times a day

calls from this number every day all different times- never a message

They call everyday even though I tell them I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.

so i get calls every frigging day. WTF they want I will not know bc they don't leave any freakin message.

So I get calls from this number at least once a day. Every time I pick up nobody is ever on the other line. I called them back and got a recording saying it was Metro News. Just reported them since my number is on the do not call registry and they seem to be a telemarketer.

these people called me all week when I wasn;t here.  then 8:30am on a Sat morning - the one day I could have slept longer than 5 hours after a 90 hour work week.  I want o f-ing destroy these people

Everyone who has an unlimited national calling plan should just call back Metro News all day long and tie up their phones.

I answered this call, because I happen to have family in Las Vegas.  The caller said he was affiliated with Newsday, and knew facts about my expired Newsday acct.   I told him, I know download my news articles on the kindle (he knew nothing about that) and seemed content with my response. I thought that would be the last i heard from him....NOT THE CASE!  That was yesterday, and I have had multiple calls from the same number since then.

Same problem.  Calls come in all day long, at least 10 per day.  Woody, I called the number on your link and spoke to the VP of marketing listed on the web page.  He sounded like he's heard this many times before and almost laughed when I mentioned they never speak when I pick up the line.

Anyway he said he'd have it resolved in 48 hours and to call him again if I get any more calls after that.

I'm thinking the people they hire to make the calls get paid a small fee just for getting an answer on the line, and this is what's causing over-ambitious employees to hassle you every day.
