This is a real hoot. There's an ad above this comment area for Office Depot.

I get calls from this number and no one ever speaks. It's annoying. I used to get calls from Office Depot and told the rep to stop calling and to remove my number. I finally quit doing business with Office Depot. It wouldn't surprise me if this number is connected to Office Depot and they hired this caller to harrass customers that have walked.

I won't ever pick up a call from this number again.

I don't know about anybody else but this seems like a scam to me. I have gotten a call from this # twice already. Why out of the blue does somebody from Office Depot need to call me, when I haven't ordered anything from them in a long time? If you do get a call from this #, do not give them any of your information. If you have ordered from Office Depot in the past, they should already have your info. And if they don't, they would only need it if you were going to order from them. I have contacted office Depot over this and yes this number needs to be shut down. I am also concerned that perhaps Office Depot has given out customer information to a third party.

Got a call from this number yesterday. They said they were Office Depot and asked me if I have had problems with any of my orders. I told them no and that I had not ordered anything from them in a long time. So today I get another call from them, though this time I didn't answer my phone. So why out of the blue are they calling people? Seems strange to me. Guess I will contact office depot and tell them to stop calling me.

He gave e his name and said he was my personal rep at office depot. he thought i had a business which i don't. But did have the name of it. i think he was legitimately trying to help sell more products for office depot and i asked him to check for a product i anticipate buying whitn the next year to see of that kind of soft ware package exists.  This is probably a contractor of Offcie depot- a tlemarketeer and if he is able to do the research for me and sell me a product at the cheapest rice , fine, its a legit service of the company. Fewer companies that provide office supplies are filling requests for paper and ink today as more is digitalized and economies being down reduced the needs.  of course I would always purchase on line as they have secured info for credit cards, etc. I would give him the sles commission if he gave me a code, etc for him on that prchase.

This just happened to me this morning and "KiKi" from Office Depot asked if I did the ordering/once I said "Yes" (which I thought was weird as they shouldn't have my cell phone number) she hung up.  THIS IS NOT OFFICE DEPOT (and when I called the number back, I also got the weird Bad DNIS message)

Keep receiving calls on my cell and they do not leave a message, when I call back the number I receive a message "Bad DNIS" and the call is disconnected.
Seems very bogus.

I rec'd a call at 10:50am and the guy said he was from Office Depot asking for someone else.  I told him that I was the one that does all the ordering, and if I could help him. He hung up on me after that. The caller ID said "DPRED".  I called the # back and a pre-recorded message said "Bad D.N.I.S.", then hung up.  Whatever that means!

Got a call from DPRED today.

Here's the thing:

I said "I ordered some paper a while back, I want to order that again.  Can you tell me what item number it is (it was a certain paper that is no longer produced)?".  The person on the other end of the line correctly identified the product number of the item I wanted and was able to determine that it was out of stock.  They then suggested other products.  I said thank you, goodbye, and hung up.

It is NOT Office Depot. If it were they would call the right number and have the current contact name and they would be your actual account representative who you have spoken to before. If you have an account with them they should have all of that information. When they called me they called a roll-over line which we don't publish or give out and asked for the "person in charge" of buying office suppIies. When I pointed this out they tried to tell me that it was the number furnished when we applied for the account even though our account representative calls the main number and asks for the financial manager by name. I tend to get a bit irritable with them because they really annoy me when I am busy and they are trying to scam my company out of money but maybe next time I'll play dumb and find out what they're trying to get me to agree to.

Agreed. They are not with Office Depot and have managed to buy your information from another company. When they called my company they called a roll-over line that we don't publish or give out and claimed it was furnished as our contact number. It was not because our account manager calls the main number and ask for our financial manager by name. This company asked for the person in charge of buying office supplies because they don't know if the information they paid for is correct or not. If you tell them you already have an account they will suddenly pull out a contact name hoping to make themselves look legitimate. The simple fact that they called the wrong number and didn't ask for a person by name told me they weren't with Office Depot.

Its Office Depot. The bad thing is, I already order from them and then they still call me all the time to order more. Some of the calls they just hang up without saying anything. It's really started to bother me and they better knock it off or I will start using another company.

This number calls my home phone at least 3-5 times a week.  I do not run a business from home and I have never had a business or any other relationship with DPRED/Office Depot. I actually answered once and a guy that sounded like he was from Haiti and had a 3rd grade education tried to get my credit card number-when I asked him for his employee I.D. # he promptly hung up.  These scammers keep getting dumber and dumber they have no motivation to rip me off anymore.  All he had to do was make up a fake number; how in the hell was I going to verify it?  Come on scammers, try a little harder-keep your chins up you'll scam someone soon!

I added this number to my google voice. I add these type of calls to my junk mail folder (which has a personal greeting for this market). I get an email with the voice mail. Usually they hung up or leave a voice mail.

It is NOT Office Depot. I don't know why they say they are except that they possibly managed to hack Office Depot's customer list. They are likely trying to get account information from you.

If you have a OD Business Account your rep may contact you from time to time, but that would be very infrequently and it would be someone that you know. They don't use telemarketers. The person on the line saying they are from Office Depot is lying.

Not true. When your Office Depot rep calls they are either calling from their local office or their cell phone. They are not "forced to use random numbers" and how would "block[ing] their location...protect customer and business account information?"

They already have your business and account information because your rep knows you.

This is definitely not legit Office Depot. I've been getting several of these calls every day for the past week or so. I have never answered the call. When voicemail picks up, a buzzing tone is left on the voicemail.

Once an actual message was left. It was difficult to understand, but it was a man with a Jamaican or Caribbean accent inquiring about my Office Depot account. He stated that there were several unpaid invoices and that I needed to contact their accounts payable department to get it cleared up.

THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SCAM.

This is not legit Office Depot, and anyone on here who thinks that it is has obviously not spent much time dealing with Office Depot. I have a business account with them - the only person who ever contacts me directly is my account representative who I have met in person. The called ID always says OD or OFFICE DEPOT when they are calling - and usually from a local number.

Anyone calling saying that they are from Office Depot, but you haven't corresponded with them before is SCAMMING YOU. Maybe they hacked OD's client list or something, but do not give them any information.

they call me several times a day, I never answer, they usually don't leave a message but sometimes the message is about a minute long of background noise.....so tired of this!

Like so many others we recevie daily phone calls from them. Caller ID "DPRED"  It is Office Depot.
They never leave messages.  We have created a fake person and a Voice Mail Box into which ALL of this type of daily call is transferred.  If they would like to speak with someone we transer them to "Helen Waite" who is in chrage of their area of inquiry.

Sometimes we even receive calls wishing to speak ONLY with "Helen Waite."  So for a reply they need to go to "Hell and Wait"  Now when QUILL simply walks in the door, without an appointment and usually two at a time, they are asked to wait in the reception area until Helen Frees Up.  This generally takes much longer than than anticiapted and we have an office pool for which company is willing to wait the longest period of time for "HEll to Free Up!".

I got a message from Office Depot, they wanted me to send them an e-mail...

Every few days around the same time (3:00-3:30) I receive a call from OPRED.  If i do not pick-up, they do not leave a message.  If I pick-up, no-one answers.  It is very frustrating to be hassled by annoying calls.  How can i make them stop?

receive calls two to three times a day. we will not use off depot account again.  we do not answer their calls and they never leave a message.

It is Office Depot. I do buy from Office Depot for business supplies. I told them I already buy products, as I need them. I told them not to call me or I will stop buying from them. Yet they continue to bug me all hours of the day and night. I am going to report them if they do not stop. I will probably have to switch back to Staples as they did not harass me.
