We got the same bill today, May 3, 2012. I`m calling the phone company in a few minutes to have this removed from our bill. We don`t even have long distance service on this land line. My smart girlfriend went on line from work and told me about it.

THIS IS A SCAM!!

I was billed by CenturyLink for $7.14 ($5.49 + $1.65 carrier administrative fee) on behalf of ILD Teleservices, Inc. on my 3/16/12 CenturyLink bill.
The alleged long distance call was noted as being from my home phone to 702-555-1212 at a location identified on the CenturyLink bill as DA ASSIST. billed on behalf of CALLING  10 15 15 800. As there is no long distance service available on my home phone, I became suspicious and called the customer service number (1-800-433-4518) provided by ILD only to be informed that they were closed for the day. I then went to the ILD website and noted another customer service number (800-637-4009) which is noted as available from 7 a. m. to 8:30 p. m. CST M-F. When calling this number, a recording states that they are closed for the day and their hours are 8 a. m.-8:30 p. m. M-F EST.  I will query CenturyLink in the morning as to how THEIR computer system allows alleged long distance calls to be generated from a number from which long distance is not available. I also will call ILD Teleservices in the morning and request they remove the charges from my bill; I will pay the $7.14 billed by CenturyLink on behalf of ILD and its SCAMMING partners.

This is a major scam, century link said I made the call, but I was home all day and the call was not made. LDS should be sued, when I called them they were very rude and did not admit to the scam.
I said just gogle the number, they said they could not.

Phone statement for January 2012 is showing 702-555-1212 as DIR ASSIST call placed on a date and time in December 2011 that no one in our household could have or would have made.  Statement on bill indicates "above calls are presented for carrier ILD Teleservices, Inc."  It further indicated to contact 800-433-4518 if questions concerning the call.  Another statement below shows "ILD TELESERVICES INC billing on behalf of Telseven, LLC dba Calling 101515800."  Will contact our phone provider to have charges removed.

Today my parents received a call from 702-525-1212. I haven't lived there for years and when i call back it goes straight to a cell phone voicemail which is full. I smell a scam. Does anyone have any insight other than the charge on the phone bill. Is this a collection service or just a straight up scam?

Got a charge on my phone bill for this number in the amount of 7 $7.47.  I called my phone carrier and they agreed to take it off my bill.  However, they told me to call ILD @ 1-800-433-4518 and ask them how they got my number.  I tried calling and was told I would have to call back during business hours.  What a hassle.

Was billed twice for calls to 702-555-1212 by ILD Teleservices, Inc., through CenturyLink.  The bill shows the calls were made only one minute apart from each other.  I don't even have long distance through CenturyLink.  I will be working to get full refund.  Too bad the phone company you are with does not start looking into this before billing it to their customers since there are so many complaints about it being bogus and false.

I had this same phone number on my Century Link telephone bill this month. Never made the call and in fact we don't even have long distance service on this phone. Century Link rep was great I told her I was seeing pages of complaints from other people on the internet about this same scam and she immediately took the charges off our bill.

Yes I definitely agree it's a scam. I have to say that my very recent experience with CenturyLink customer service was positive as the gentleman informed me my business account will be credited for the $7.65. Well of course this was after I informed him it was impossible for ANY of my employees to make that call because it was closer to six pm and nobody was in the office and I have proof of that.  I mean granted it's not much but Lord!!! add the $5-8 they are charging people for this scam and that's a whole lot of money!!! I will have to wait and see if the credit shows up on the next billing cycle. If not then I've got my notes and the info on the customer service rep. I did call CenturyLink directly to deal with this instead of all thos other 800 numbers shown on the bill.

Received phone bill from Century Link (previously Qwest) for the same thing. Never had an issue when it was just Qwest. Called the Century Link 800 number instead of the phone number listed on ILD Telecommunications page. Spoke with customer service who stated it could have been an employee that called. Informed him that it was 99.99% impossible as I hold the key to the building, am the one who arms the alarm for the business and being the call was made closer to six it would have to of been a ghost making the call cause it sure as hell wasn't any of my employees unless they can magically pop themselves into the building without setting off the alarms. AND to boot all employees clock in and out of the office on a timeclock and I was the last one to leave ensuring the building was locked and armed. Well supposedly Century Link will credit our business account and return the charges to the damn scamming company. It's all good cause I've got the rep information and my notes attached to our bill. Also told the rep I don't ever want to see that come up on my bill again :-)

I am so furious why our local phone company is so vulnerable to these scams.
They should have something in place to stop this from happening especially if they already have received a number of complaints on this number.  They should be proactive.
I went over my paper copy of our phone bill for this month and was surprised to see it went up.  Went through the details and found this number.  Googled this number and found these postings and that this is an ongoing scam.
Our local phone company is Centurylink, used to be Qwest.  And my billing looks exactly like levibluewa's except for the date.  The date on mine was Sep 13  11:05P.

I've gotten cell phone calls with the 555-1212 caller ID.  Don't remember what it was about but then I got a seven dollar something charge on my qwest bill.  I know this is a scam and they're just throwing these charges as third party.  I think idltelcom (the scammer) submits these charges with the hope most people won't dispute or even notice them.  (they don't know my wife).  What makes me mad is qwest (now centurylink) probably knows it's a scam.  Are they getting a cut????????????? Probably for bill collection.

received a charge for 5.49 for calling 702-555-1212.  TDS is my provider and they took the charge off my bill even tho they insisted someone must have made the call from our phone.  WE DID NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!  I don't understand what is going on, but am very pleased with TDS.

My mother, who is 93 years old, had a charge for DA Assist on July 27, 2011.  The base charge was $5.49 and with taxes etc the total was $7.13.  I calle Century Link first (8/30/2011) and they told me I had to call ILD because they charged Century Link.  Century Link (at least the gentleman I talked with) was unaware of this problem.  I told him I went out on the internet to look up this phone number, 702-555-1212, and it listed an Eric Sly of Sly Enterprises.  I also saw this website and that it is a scam.  When I called ILD I also gave them the same information and the lady, Monica, told me it was directory assitance.  I told her tht is not the information that comes up from the phone company on the internet.  She then told me she would issue a credit to Century Link for the charges plus tac.  She said it may take one to two billing cycles.  We will see what happens.  I did ask Century Link about a third party block but that costs $2.00 per month.

Today (7/16/11) I was billed by Qwest/Century Link for $7.40 by ILD Teleservices Inc. for services I did not use. The transaction is billed on behalf of "CALLING 10 15 15 800".

This service was never called, the service was never subscribed to The charge was billed to my Qwest number, which is unlisted and has a "cramming block".

I had gone to pay my phone bill and it was higher that usual. I have century link i asked the guy that was going to take my payment why is was higher this month he said because of a charge to a dir asst. i told him that i rarely use this line he and told him i did not make that call and asked if he could refund it to my bill he said that i would have to call the carrier and talk to them about it. so before i did i got my bill looked at it and thought i would google the number in knowing that my husband and i had not made this call and i found all these other people that had the same thing happen to them . this is fustrating to know i did not make this 7.14 call but i will get to the bottom of this when money is tight seven dollars and 14 cents goes a long way. but im glad that i found all these other people that have had this happen to them. i will do more reserch on this and let everyone know how it goes.

Here we go .... same thing happened to us today when we received our telephone bill. I am being credited thru my local company and unfortunately the ILD office is closed for the day. Rest assured I will call first thing tomorrow morning.
Who ever is doing this needs to be found out. All I know is that the call came from Nevada and I certainly don't know any one there.

Also billed for two of these calls.  Local phone company had me call ILD who immediately said they would send me a check.  Quite a scam.  The phone bill is pages long and most people probably just pay this w/o noticing the scammed charges.

I was billed $5.49 plus $1.65 and $.45, for a total of $7.59 for a call billed on behalf of 10 15 15 800 to 1 800 555 1212 in Nevada. When I called ILD at 1-800-433-4518 they said they would issue a refund check within 5-10 days, and block any future calls. Now lets see if the check ever arrives!

My latest bill from Cox Communications includes a charge for "DIR ASST,NV" for $5.49 for a 1 minute call. Its the same number "702-555-1212" "ILD Toll Charges billed on behalf of Calling 10 15 15 800".
I also have an all inclusive domestic calls package, so no additional charges should come up.  We never called this number, we would use 411 or online yellow pages for businesses.
This is certainly a scam & looks like it could be a large one.
