There are lots of companies that will sell your timeshare, even if it is not paid up.
Search on one of them, they call me all the time too.  But if you want to get rid of it try them.

Good Luck

Hi everyone.  Normally I don't participate in public blogs, but I feel I must add to all this.  I agree a thousand times over.  I also hope this posting isn't too late.  My husband and I have been unemployed for 3 years due to injury and bad economy.  It's pathetic how Trendwest, Worldmark and Wyndam keep coming after us. It seems the only restitution is bankruptcy but I'm not willing to do that yet.  This timeshare is only owned by my husband, but even though he's legally the only one liable for this, it's still causing serious stress and strain on our lives, I'm about to take legal action myself to find a way to get rid of this crap once and for all.  This is the biggest gaping blackhole of financial fraud masquerading around as a paradise vacation that I've ever seen.

As others have said, this is Wyndham Vacations. After receiving 5-6 calls over the last 2 days, I called them back and, after listening to all the choices, hit 00. Took me to collections. As I hadn't received a statement, and only purchased the timeshare 2 months ago, I didn't realize I was past due and told them so. Also told them I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize and that someone should leave a message. Woman was very nice and accommodating. So I guess this is a legit call. Just wish they would identify themselves via voicemail.

Receiving many calls from this number. Answer it and it rings through to someone and when I say what is it you would like they hang up. Seriously. They call me and when I answer them they hang up.
I blocked the number on land line and now they are calling on cell.
I called back as well and it appears to be Wyndham.

You are so right. As a person ages the fees increase. Anyone purchasing a Timeshare will have the same problem with them. The  older you get the more they hound you. They change things about the Timeshare that the owner has no control over and cannot do a thing about it. The Federal government should have more control of them. They prey on the elderly. We will all be elderly one day. Do not purchase from them. Do not purchase Timeshares period. They are a trap that you can never get free from unless you sell it yourself. The rules have changed so many times in the last 30 years that it is darnright criminal.

I was allowed to give my deed back, void the contract and get all my money back from buying points that they lies to me about at Wyndham. I got my money back through their credit card two weeks ago and I'm still getting phone calls from their collections dept. for not paying!! I asked them to stop the calls because not only are they harassing but they have a chance to wake my 2 yr old. One hand has know clue what the other is doing. So glad I got my money back, but how do they not know I did? And they call on a Sunday yet when their office isn't even open!!

Called twice this morning before 6AM! I have never joined or purchased anything from Wyndham or any other vacation company and I've had the same number for 10 years. They are obviously some scam op and don't abide by the rules.

The last comment posted here was a few months ago, but I've been getting calls from this number for the past two weeks at exactly the same time every single day. They never leave a VM and the one time I did answer my phone, it was just some person breathing on the other line. That was just weird. I didn't even own a timeshare with Wyndham, my husband and I had what they called a Discovery plan, where we were able to try out the timeshare for one year at a low cost per month, we only used it once and decided we weren't interested, so we were told that we have to keep paying the monthly price until our contract expired. Guess what, our contract expired on March 25th, 2013 and now they are claiming that we have to make four more payments as we were supposed to make 22 payments an only made 18! WTH! Why in the world would they expire a contract FOUR months prior to the 'final payment' being made? They didn't even give us an extension so we could at least use the stupid thing while we make those 'final payments.' Now they won't stop calling me! I have no idea what to do, I hope everyone has been able to take care of their problems with Wyndham Vacations. I know many people who own timeshares and never have problems like the ones mentioned here, but I guess they weren't dealing with idiots neither....

This company is Wyndham-I agree they missrepresent a lot of things when they sell people timeshares. They have been calling me 20 times a day, even late at night, seven days a week, for four months now. Their financial services people are rude and condesending. Many times they won't say anything when i answer their call, they just breathe.Their calls are excessive, and a violation of the fair debt collection act. oh-they e-mail me numerous times a week too. This is harassment.

Love my membership with them.  If you ask them to stop calling you for the upselling, they will take you off the list.  Just answer your phone and tell them not to call you anymore.  They stopped when I asked them to.

This place keeps calling me over and over again asking for a "Breanna Wagner." I've told them multiple times that no such person lives here, I do not know anybody by that name, and they need to take me off their calling list. Yet in the past month I have over 150 calls from them. All day every day they just keep calling and calling. I've put my number on the "donotcall" list and will be filing a report against them soon.

Hi MS, what happened to your timeshare now?  Are you out of it?  I want to know because we've been victimized by this company who misrepresented a lot of stuff during sales.

We sold our Wyndham Kingsgate timeshare in Wlliamsburg, Virginia in July, 2010. We sold it thru Transfer Smart.  It took forever.  The deed transfer finally took place in March, 2011 in York County, Virginia.  We thought we were done.

We have been getting phone calls from Wyndham at 702-562-8350 everyday for that past few months. We have faxed them a copy of the deed transfer many times, but they do not care. They said that even though the new owner paid the maintenance last yesr, their records show we still own it. They do not care about what the deed says.

This area code says 702 which is Nevada, but the last person I talked to said he was in Orlando, Florida.   I'm not sure who these people are anymore.  I am also trying to find a phone number for the real corporate office and the CEO. Can anyone help?

If it is a telemarketing call from Wyndham, be sure to TELL THEM to take you off of their calling list.(they are obligated to do so).    If they are calling because you have an amount due, then you need to pay and they'll stop (till next year).

Here's a tip for cell phones, especially smart phones: Check for number filtering settings or functions. I have an Android phone made by Samsung. When I look at the log entry for a number that has called me, I can touch the "Menu" button, and there is an option to add that number to the "Reject List."

For that number, phone won't ring or record that the call came in. Problem solved.

Check your phone to see if it has a similar function

It looks like its coming from Wyndham Vacations...so it has something to do with timeshares.  Your name and number probably got submitted to a timeshare company and they are trying to sell you one.  If you're not on the Do Not Call list, I'd get signed up!

It is Trendwest Resorts or Wyndam. I am an owner of a timeshare from the company and sometimes they call me from a regular business number which occasionally I'll answer. But I never answer (i hate calls from companies even if i'm involved with them) calls on my cell phone. But this number they use when they try to harass you to get a hold of you. I just add it to my cell phone address book as a DO NOT ANSWER listing.

JUST HAD AN OWNER CALL IN ON THIS NUMBER. EVERYTIME SHE PICKS UP THEY HANG UP. NOT SURE WHY ANYONE IS CALLING HER. SHE IS A TRENDWEST OWNER SO IT MIGHT BE THE FAIRFIELD TIMESHARE CALLING FOR SOME REASON. IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER CALL IT BACK AND SEE IF YOU CAN FIND OUT WHY THEY CALLED. NO REASON ON OUR END AS FAR AS WE CAN SEE UNLESS ITS FROM FINANCIAL SERVICES

This company must be an collection agency.  They called our company number asking for a specific individual. Made no promises to add the number to the DNC list.

Next time we'll advise that no one at our number may take personal calls and that will stop them from calling--at least for that individual...

Caller would only identify themselves as "DFH 8"
