"Consumer consent must be unambiguous, meaning that the consumer must receive a ?clear and conspicuous disclosure? that he/she will receive future calls that deliver autodialed and/or pre-recorded telemarketing messages on behalf of a specific advertiser; that his/her consent is not a condition of purchase; and he/she must designate a phone number at which to be reached (which should not be pre-populated by the advertiser in an online form). Limited exceptions apply to this requirement, such as calls/texts from the consumer?s cellular carrier, debt collectors, schools, informational notices and healthcare-related calls."--This is from the updated changes to the law here is the link: http://www.kleinmoynihan.com/publication/new- ... ctober-16-2013/

My question is, how does it comply with federal laws and regulations regarding cell phones and auto dialer? T Mobile as a cell phone company should know this, right? Why are they purposely sharing our cell numbers with a third party to harass us via robo-calls? Here is a link to the federal government's rules on this. http://www.fcc.gov/guides/unwanted-telephone-marketing-calls http://www.fcc.gov/guides/unwanted-telephone-marketing-calls
Here is a link to the law itself: http://transition.fcc.gov/cgb/policy/TCPA-Rules.pdf
And another: http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/47/227
The law has had recent updates as of October 2013, I believe: http://www.kleinmoynihan.com/publication/new- ... ctober-16-2013/
I hope this is helpful for consumers. I had to call T Mobile to request the calls stop. When I tried calling the 702-576-0448, there was no option to remove my number from the list, and there was no option to talk to a human.
I am wondering if this is against the regulations. It seems to be but I am not a lawyer. I also just want the nuisance calls to stop.

Evidently T Mobile has contracted out our information (at least our cell phone numbers) so we can be auto-dialed 20 times per day. This happens after each call a customer makes to T Mobile customer service, whether it is to pay a bill, or ask a question. Here is a link to the FCC website regarding relevant federal law and guidelines: http://www.fcc.gov/guides/unwanted-telephone-marketing-calls
Pinpoint research--contracted out by TMobile--also uses a series of other 702 phone numbers, including 702-576-0461.
As far as I have seen, there is no way to speak to an actual human at these numbers. Again, I think it may be in opposition to the actual federal guidelines regarding the calls. If TMobile wants to know how their customer service reps are performing, there are many other ways a company can reasonably and productively go about this. I have to think that contracting to a third party to make robo calls will be much more costly. Not only is this costly due to the hiring of the third party company, and all its workers, but also by turning current customers off who are receiving the nuisance calls.

and you'd be wise not to have a TMobile.....Their customer service seem to be nice people, but they have a limited knowledge of what the hell they are talking about. Given the run around and end up in the same menu starting all over each time I call. No... I don't owe. Just want the signal extending equipment they promised when they sold me two new phones, to resolve a low coverage area where I live. Told me they was out of stock and would need to call them back in 2 months. Then was told, couldn't have one. I have a Couple of months left on my phones and out the door they go. I'm going back to US cellular. At least I could get a good signal.

Ended up with bounced checks all over. They could never get it right. took the payment out 5 days before due date. Had to finally go yo BBB and the communacation commissionors. Never got the same story twice..finally had to take names..id numbers..and write everything that was said...i so loved Cingular!

They call me with this number and Caller ID is giving their Name on my phone, Guess what on caller ID the name associated with this number was my name but spell in a different way as they distort my name and then call me with this number! I strongly believe that this is done by Govt. to spy on people and know who is very Active on Youtube, Face book and other social media and can be potential Anti War Anti Establishment Anti Capitalist Person, YouTube, Facebook, Google, CNN, Aljazeera, etc all are spying for US govt and other Western Govt and Searching for people who can be potential Rebels against their Establishments! Be very Aware of these sites and donot disclose any info on this sites especially Facebook, Google, Gmail, Aljazeera, CNN, YOutube etc

Calls are a spam telemarketing company trying to sell security systems. It's a scam: they keep calling and then changing their phone number.

I get calls from this number every day!!!!!! It starts out as a recording saying everyday there is a breakin in your neighborhood, you have been selected for a free security system. Press 1 if you are interested, 2 to be taking off of our call list. Everytime, I hit 2!!! I have ADT and no need for another security system. The next day, they call again!!!!!!!!

T-mobile?! I doubt it. I have Verizon. Most likely a spoofed number that the same calling center uses for whoever is paying them to make robo-calls.

ANOTHER "free GE Alarm system" ROBOCALL. A.K.A Protect America, Inc.
Been getting these calls for over 5 years, it's time to sue the s**t out of Protect America, Rockbridge Growth Equity(the parent company) and Dan Gilbert(the A**hole that owns it all).

It is best to not even answer any call from an unrecognized number. If it is important, someone will leave a message or call back.
The simple fact that you answered the call lets the sender know that it is a valid number and they sell it. They do not even have to be selling a valid product. If you press any key, then they know it is a valid number and if you say anything, especially if it is offensive, then you guarantee that your number will be sold.
About 5 months ago, I stopped answering calls from unknown numbers and I have seen a distinct decrease in all calls even valid commercial ones. I used to receive about 2 - 3 calls a day and now it is down to about 1 a week.
Records are being kept that increase the validity of your number being active based on the number of times you have answered these phishing calls. Those numbers with the highest connect rate net the most profit for the phishers and are highly prized for the commercial industry.
To stop the calls, DON'T ANSWER THEM!

The recorded message said it was an alarm company. I pressed one to talk to someone. I asked the name of the company that was calling and the woman hung up on me.
