I had the same text. Sent the STOP and my email was hacked for the first time ever.

Both my husband & I rec'd the student loan message.  Both messages stated to text STOP to the 702 number.  We did not respond.

I got the same message and reported it to 7726

My wife and i both got texts, mine from a 813 my wifes from yet a different exchange, both texts were the same as what JMR got except mine said Carrie B and my wife's said Rakisha P.   I looked into the link that it sent and tinyurl.com is a known site for cyberhacking, malware, ect.  the 702-582-9106 was the text to stop number.

Text came in saying "Hey Brian P are you late or delinquent on your federal student loan? Click tinyurl.com/ajovpug" and then the STOP stuff. I am not Brian P, do not have any student loans and do not want to hear from these or any other junk texters. Didn't the Govt put somebody away for junk mail? This is the same stuff... just saying....

I received a text stating the following:

(1/2) Hello (my name) do you need financial assistance? Go to http://plzclick.co/3QCpLy see if you qualify. Serious inquires only! Unsub STOP

Then another text stating the following right after the first one:

(2/2) to 7025829106

I got the same text (tho mine was from 925 area code), and was suspicious like you. So I hit Reply and texted STOP ALL. I just did it now so I'm not sure if it will work. I replied simply STOP to other spam texts from a completely different number (a 5-digit number?!) and then got an auto reply back saying that I'd opted out of only a certain person's/type of text and to reply STOP ALL to opt-out of all campaigns. Annoying to have the back and forth, esp. when I pay per text. :-(

got a spam text listed as being from another number (319 area code) but saying to click a link in the text to "see if I qualify" and "serious inquiries" only.  Said to unsubscribe I need to text "STOP" to 702-582-9106. I'm concerned that texting 'stop' to the new number will actually lead to more spam messages.  Anyone done this and have a result?
