Yes, I got this call also but after my husband got caught in a big scam last June, I have become very wise.  I asked them if they were with RCI and they said YES.  Well they weren't and I knew it.

Didn't get a call but this number shows up as a call from my number for a charge of $5 and change....since I have unlimited long distance, this is clearly a fraudulent call.  I wonder how they hacked the phone billing system?

this phone #  & charge of $5.17 appeared on our business phone account bill as an outbound call... phoned Verizon and they issued credit and rejected back to ILD Teleservices, but stated that they could not prevent it from happening again and that we might be invoiced direct from ILD... I'll take my chances

I called met life at 1 800 854 6011 received a message which said the directory assistance you have called has been changed to a new number please note it down and call 1 702 589 9300. The message sounded suspicious, so I plugged the number into a search engine and it led me here.
They hack one number to get you to call a pay number; a very sophisticated hack. They should be in jail.

702-589-9300 is scum of the earth.  I called Anthem-Blue Cross and the recording told me to call the 702-589-9300.  The recording I got from them them said all customer service calls would be 3.79.  I hung up and looked up another number for Anthem and got through.

This is a very sophisticated scam.  Our LE is helpless or not interested in stopping the financial rape of americans.

Tried to fax to a valid 800 number. Instead, the call was rerouted and I heard a voice message stating I should dial the 702-589-9300 number.  This happened multiple times so I was unable to fax my document.  I did not call the 702 number.  Instead I went online and found this site with details of the scam.  I immediately called my carrier, Verizon.  The Billing Department was able to immediately place a cramming block on this number. They also told me that should the cramming company have put through a bill already, I should call back after receiving the bill and it will be rejected by Verizon.

Thank you everyone for posting your experiences with the crammer so that I knew what to expect.

Received numerous calls from 800-876-8158 that show up on my caller ID.  If answered you get a recording to please wait for the next available operator.  If you call this number you get prompted to call 702-589-9300 and will be charged a $3.79 fee.  (I DON'T THINK SO)

What I do not understand is why does Verizon authorize these services and cherges to our accounts. I have been hgit with same problem with charghes for oper assisted call to 702# that we never dialed nor we needed directory assistance for this number.
We pay so much to Verizon for their service and top of that we have to spend so much time to clear these matters. Verizon is not easy to deal with and takes so much time to speak to Verizon Rep. and after long hold, if you are lucky you will find some one who likes to do some work most reps will find quick excuse and transfer to a dead line.

My husband received a very large check in the mail and the 800# was listed at the bottom of the letter included with this "check for veterans". When i called it gave me the same 702#. I have not called it but i'm a little worried now about them having my info. Why would a check for a large lump sum from the United State Treasury have this "Calling 10" company attached to it? Not feeling so secure anymore. :(

This is a company called "Calling 10" it is a Nationwide Deirectory Assistance service - Call 800-433-4518 and follow the prompts. You will eventually get a real person who can cancell the service so you will not incure anymore charges from this service.

Have been finding this number as directory assistance charges on several of our water utility's phone bills.  No one remembers receiving or making these calls, probably because our company makes and recieves a lot of phone calls for business and crack-pot calls like this are likely forgotten in the course of a busy day.

Billed $5.17 by ILD, called their 800 number and the insisted that 702-589-9300 was dialed from our phone. They told me that this is a number for nationwide directory assistance. Directory assistance? What is this 1980? Is Lily Tomlin on the otherside? Why would anybody call directory assistance when there is the internet? And why would I dial 10 digit directory assistance number when 0 on cell phone does it free?

I was billed $5.17 by ILD Teleservices, Inc. ETS on my April 2010 phone bill.  According to the list of long distance calls, it appears that a call from our landline was made to 702-589-9300.  When I questioned my phone company on how they "make it appear" that the call was made from your phone, I was told that the phone records can't be manipulated, but I totally disagree.  There must be someway that this company "reverses charges" to your home phone to make it "appear" that the call was made from your phone.  We never called Las Vegas for any reason.  I called ILD and was told I would receive a refund and that they would block my number, but I have my doubts this will happen.  What is Calling 10 anyway?  Anyone know?  I'm a victim of cramming and will file a report to the FCC.  Good luck to others out there who have had this happen.  I hope you get it resolved.

Evidently they are still in operation.  My wife got a call from them today indicating that I needed to call the Costco pharmacy to confirm my prescription with them.  It so happens that last week, I tossed in my trash an empty prescription container from Costco with my name and number on it.  I remember thinking that maybe I should scratch off my personal information from the container, but thought, nah, who would bother enough to sift through the trash and dig that up?  The message to call Costco was suspicious because I've not recently taken a scrip to them.  But I was curious, and called the 800-609-6861 number anyway to find out.  I got the recording to call 702-589-9300 for a $3.79 charge.  Hmmm.  That doesn't should like Costco, and luckily I did not follow through.

I just found the Calling 10 charge of $3.79 on my Verizon bill.  Contacted ILD at 800-433-4518.  They will credit $ and block from Calling 10 so there will be no more charges.  There is already a cramming block for carrier services on my line from Verizon.   Go figure!
I have had these problems before.  Wish they would go away.  What a scam.

Mike, Same thing here at my business. I did call the billing questions number - they removed the charge but wouldnt give me any information about it; kept saying its a direct dialed directory assistance. I said i dont think so. Then i said will you please remove our account from your systems, and she replied yes i can submit your account for cancellation. I have no idea what that means as my business never signed up for anything of the sort.

ILD Teleservices billing on behalf of Calling 10
the billing questions number i called is 1800-433-4518. and i refused to type in my billing phone number until someone came on and asked me personally as i was afraid to get charged again.

Verizon says -- they can do nothing to help us with this because those, albeit scams, from 800 numbers on websites, tell you upfront that they are going to charge the $3.79 etc if you connect. So its your choice. argh!

A charge for $ 5.17 from this number (702-589-9300) showed up on my Verizon bill this month too, and after Googling the number I found your website.  I've called Calling 10, LLC and they will "credit my account."  My phone bill's already high enough with Verizon and this scam charge really ticks me off.  I'm calling Verizon and my state's attorney general and our state's public service commission to report this scam.  I recommend you all do the same!  Imagine how many people don't even notice these charges on their bills - especially the elderly - and once you pay the charge I bet the company will add a charge or two to your future bills once they get away with it the first time.  People like them are just plain EVIL!

After filling out an FCC online complaint (www.fcc.gov) against Calling 10 LLC, I received a refund check from Calling 10 LCC.  The check arrived 6 months after I filed my complaint.

The letter with the check was addressed to the FCC and tried to explain they are a legit business (I did agree with that!).  However regarding complaints here's what if said, "it is Calling 10's policy to refund the cost of a call to the ENADA Service if a customer questions the charge."

I bet they refund the people who complain to the FCC because it's a small number of people and they make millions off other people who don't know they can contest the charges.

Get your money back!

Try finding out that they were debiting my bank account for $12 for 5 months before I caught it!  The bank would not remove it without much threatening. I have NO idea how they got my bank info and were able to do that.  They were listed as Reservation Rewards. When I tried to call the number on my bank statement to find out who it was and why they were charging me I got the same messages as everyone else. Be on the look out. This was my checking account not a phone bill they were billing!!!
