Just got a call from this number from Mike...lets just keep it at Mike.  He wanted to buy a Suburban from me.  Wanted to make sure it was ok.  But he was hesitant to give ANY other info.

How can I report this number to the Attorney General and get thsese crooks thrown in jail?

Idea!! How about unplugging the phone or turning off the bells? Then you can screen them at the end of the day and call back whomever you want. The Do Not Call bs doesn't work. Unless you live in a bunker you will somehow do something during the year that exempts you from the list. Nobody cares.

I too just recieved a call from these a** clowns.  Ok, I can see why people get upset about this sort of stuff...they prey on those who are easily decieved, however try my method for dealing with people like this.  If time allows, keep them on the phone as long as possible.  I just had some complete idiot woman on the phone for 44 minutes.  I kept asking her to go into further detail about how she can help me with my credit card debt, and whenever she asked me for information, I simply made it up.  Fake name, social, cc #, etc.  Its lots of fun to decieve the deciever, and when I tired of the game I abruptly started speaking Portuguese to her and she eventually hung up extremely confused as to how her "fish" got away.  I know that most people dont have the time to mess with scammers like this, but for some reason I take immense pleasure in it.

I have just REC a call on1-21-2011 @12:09PM EST from 702-595-4597 and this is the 2nd call like it I have had from anther number so far they have been calls from cellphones or wireless calls I think I am going to drop a dime on them and let the Police handle it.

We are receiving repeated phone calls from this number.  It has an automated message stating they are reviewing our credit file.  When you get to speak to someone, they hang up on you abruptly when they realize you aren't falling for their scam.

We get several calls a day from this scammer.  We can't seem to get them to stop calling.

Just received a call from this number 702-595-4597, and we are also on the Do Not Call  Registry. What are we supposed to do??? I guess just put a call block on this number...

Just got a call 5 min. ago.  pressed 1, got a real person and told him him to take my name and number off of there records and he said he could not do that and SLAMMED the phone in my ear.  How do we get them to stop calling.  Said my credit card company asked them to call to lower my interest rates, don't thank so.  Also the mailbox is always full or is not set up to take messages.

I just got a 3rd call from this number so decided to answer. I waited through the recorded message then pressed 1 to speak with an agent or whatever. I told her(him?) I'm on the do not call registry and the phone was SLAMMED down in my ear.

Some telemarketer call. Funny because the caller id showed it was from wireless caller. When I answered, it's recorded message. I wonder how they could call with recorded message on their cell phone. Just another scam calls.

Your grandfather was lucky to have you near by to prevent any fraud from occurring.  Yes, I neglected to mention on my previous post that the scammers called themselves Card Services which is the name of the credit card company associated with my credit card. The only thing I can suggest is to report it to your credit card company.  If enough consumers complain on a daily basis, hopefully the credit card companies will finally react to combat this problem especially in their own backyard.

My grandfather received a call from a company calling themselves Card Services. They told him they wanted to lower his interest rates on all credit cards and also told him they needed his credit card numbers and a payment because he was late on his credit card bills. That's when I walked in and he handed the phone to me because he could not hear or understand the scam caller because of the slang he talked on the phone and how uneducated he sounded. My grandfather was about to give the caller his credit card number to take a payment. I told the man that my grandparents do not need his services or products because they pay the balance off every month so not to accrue interest. He became very rude and said," So what your telling me is that you don't give a dam about your grandparents." That's when I told him to remove this number from their call list. He then started to curse at me and told me he was going to keep calling until I was no longer at the house to answer. After hanging up I looked at the caller ID and the call was from a wireless number, 702-595-4597. Like the others on this forum, when I called it back to speak to a manager the mail box was full and did not mention a company. I don't know how to stop the calls. Any suggestions?

I got a call from the 702-595-4597 number yesterday and did not answer. I sort of knew it was one of those scam callers that pretends to be your credit card company to lower your interest rate. I received numerous calls in the past from other states.  I'm thinking Arizona...can't remember now.  Initially, you hear a recorded message about a short opportunity to lower your rate and then you are prompted to press 1 to speak to a live operator. Once you are connected, the scammer tries to get all your credit card information: number, expiration date, etc.  If the operator knows you are on to them, they will hang up on you immediately.  These scammers have gotten so sophisticated with their operations. At first you were able to call the number back but now the calls to Las Vegas will say that the mailbox is full.  On a previous call the scammer pretended to be my credit card company but yet they did not know who I was or they did not have my card information. I called my credit card company afterwards and reported the scam to them. I encourage you all to do the same.  Face it, a credit card company will never ever call you or anyone else to lower the interest rate.  If anything they want to increase your rate whenever possible.  Let the credit companies know about this so they can help in preventing fraud against their own company!!!  If you tell the caller to remove your name from their list, they will hang up on you. I know this because I had to pretend I was interested in their offer to gather all the info that I did. In the beginning, they kept hanging up on me. Be warned, do not give any of your card info to these losers or you will be a victim of their scam!!!

I also got a call from 702-595-4597 with the recording about the "last chance to lower my credit card rates". After pressing '1', was transferred to a live person who refused to give her name or the name of the company.  When I informed her that I was on the National Do Not Call list, she argued that the Do No Call rules don't apply to her organization and proceeded to try to "lower my interest rates".  I again requested that my number be removed from their autodialer and was informed that it would take 30 to 90 days!  Well, time's about up considering this is the sixth request for removal over the last three months.

I get several calls a day from either this number or from 214 208 7037 with a recording about lowering my creditcard rates.  This one's message box was full the other one hung up on me when I asked her to take me off the list. I am on the national don't call list. I should not be getting these.

Just got called from this #, said press one to talk to person.  Pressed one, got real person, 'Cassidy.'  Wanted to lower the percentage rate on ALL my credit cards.  I  don't have any.

Informed 'Cassidy' that I was on Do Not Call list, she said will remove number, and couldn't wait to get me off the phone.

THIS NUMBER CAME ON MY CELL PHONE, BUSY SIGNAL WHEN CALLED BACK ON LAND LINE....

I just got the call also, no voice mail left. Googled the #, found this thread, didn't bother to call it back. 702 looks like a Las Vegas area code.
