left a message on my phone saying they are debt collector  but not  doesnt sounds legit

Get this call about once a month, never answer. Funny thing this is a pre-pay cell phone, so dont know who they are trying to collect from.

Received call and since I was using the phone, they left a voicemail for someone I have never heard of.  Number is to Quantum Collections.  Guess they don't care how many wrong numbers they call.  Message was automated voice.
