This guy text messages me every time I post a vehicle for sale on craigslist.  He always sends the same story about how he's an oceanographer and is leaving in minutes.  He wants my car for his dad but won't be able to get phone service for like 6 months because of his job.  He can't even be bothered to fix the English enough to make sense, even though he sends the same exact text every time.  He wants to send money by paypal without seeing the car.  He also wants to send extra so his "agent" can collect it and pay the shipper.  Funny how he seems to have phone service to try and scam me next week too.  I think he must text every car add in Tucson Craigslist within minutes of it being posted, at least he does for mine.

I just got a bunch of texts identacle to everyone elses to buy my boat advertised on craigslist. I have it listed on e-bay also and just text this guy to finalize it thru e-bay buy it now. Nothing happened. Scammer.

Same for me on my EZ-GO Golf Cart for sale on CL. It's a dead giveaway when they cut&paste your ad title into their message.

I asked for the email for the PayPal payment request. The reply just came: pljck68@gmail.com

5/29/13 - Got a text message from 702-701-0589 located in Henderson, NV asking about an item for sale on Craigslist in Southern Callifornia.  Wording indicates this person is a Craigslist Scammer. This is the 3rd time I have gotten text messages from this individual who obviously doesn't keep any track of what he's doing nor is he aware there are people using this site to document his activity and that he is leaving a trail....

We got the same text wanting to know if our car was still available from a craigslist ad.

Yep, it's a scam for sure. I got the same texts. He is an oceanographer and wants to buy a bike for his dad. Hmmmmm. DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING FROM THIS JERK.

text message from this number in response to a boat ad on craigslist -- caller is in nevada asking about a small boat for sale, we are in ny doubt if he / she wants to drive this far to go to jail ------

I just received several text messages from this number about my car that is for sell on craigslist. Said they were an oceanographer and oversees at the moment  and wanted to buy the car as a surprise for dad in CA. wanted to send money through paypal.

Rec'd several text messages from this phone number 702-701-0589 located in Las Vegas, NV inquiring about a vehicle for sale in Southern California listed on Craigslist.  Both messages mentioned "is this item still for sale?".
