I think the do not call list is a scam because I only started getting these calls after I put myself on the list.

got a call from these people twice in less than 5 minutes, I did not answer any of them. my phone has a blocking option, I put this number on it after the second call

I received a call but didn't answer. I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.

I got that same call on the same day 10/16/2009 at 3:30 pm EDT.

Got a call on a T-mobile cell phone on 2009/10/16. A recorded message saying

"you may qualify for lower interest rates on your current (visa, mastercard, discover, american express, etc) credit card. press 1 to speak to a representative now"

From experience, legitimate companies always include your name. Secondly, I don't have that many credit cards. It's obviously a cold call with no prior knowledge of what accounts you have.

I just received a call on my cell phone, I obviously didn't answer. I called back and I got a recorded message asking me if I would like to be taken off their cold call list by pressing 1, which I did. Hopefully this takes care of the problem. I have received a couple of calls like this from different phone numbers, I believe this is because they have deregulated the Marketing companies and they can call cell phones with their automated systems.

Recorded message about our credit card account, then lists every credit card known to man. Hung up

I get many calls from this number. I just hang up. How can I get them to stop?

They call the house about once a day, when I answer, there's only "click".  I wait for someone to answer and they never do, except for today, when the girl was talking to someone else and hung up on me after saying "I know, I want to go home, too."  If I could just get a person and tell them to leave me alone because I'm on the Do Not Call registry, it wouldn't be a big deal.

I got a call from 702*705*5049 at 6pm and I called them back to find out what they are and they asked me if I wanted a mortgage loan or if I had credit cards I wanted to consolidate. The company name they gave me was Fine Line Financial. I reported them on the do not call list...

Its 8:48 pm in north carolina and they just call and left no message ppl have to work for a living and dont need to be calling

Someone called from this number which I don't recognize.

Noticed I missed a call from this number. Called back and it says Thank you for calling back. If you'd like to be removed from our promotions list, press 1. I didn't press anything. Call just disconnected. I bet this is a fishing scam...trying to see which numbers people call back.

Thanks for the info.  Got the call today, didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number.  Checked it out first on this site.  Keep up the good work and keep getting that web address out there.

I'm on the do not call registry, and I just filed a complaint about this company.  I too have a TracPhone, and they also call my home phone back-to-back!  I filled the complaint with the fcc, here's where you send your e-mail complaint:

fccinfo@fcc.gov <fccinfo@fcc.gov>

You can also go to the do not call registry and sign up to be on the do not call list, and more information on filing a complaint.  If everyone would do this, it would put a stop to these A$$holes!

This number , from Nevada, calls in the morning and afternoon . it's very very annoying. can someone NOT put a stop to this?

Just recieved a call from this number stating this is important in regards to forclosure on my mortgage....you must touch one now...I hung up.

i got a call from this number and when I asked how the got my number they hung up. call was about consolidating credit card debt whick I do not have.  I called the number back and got recording saing than you for calling back and that if i was not interested in receving future calls from them to hit a number  then the phone hung up no person no nothing.
obviously a scan and phone should be disconnected.  First report was in Aug? so why are the still in business?

I got a call from  same number and as soon as a live person came on the phone I asked  how they got my number (it is only new 2 day old cell number) and they immediately hung up no explanation at all.. Obviously a scam  beware!
