I am an actor on the television show Grimm. The way that casting works isn't sketch at all, it's actually through a separate company. However, these texts (which appear to be coming through ExploreTalent or the like?) have never worked once for me. I would stay away from such texts, as there are much less shady ways to get on TV...

This is the kind of thing that might make me call it.  It would an awesome break to get a major network prime time gig.  But upon further reflection, no, gotta be a scam.  No way such a show would send out casting calls at random.

I just got a text about a casting call for Once Upon A Time. Seems pretty sketchy, pretty sure they don't have trouble finding actors.

Have any of you ever signed with explore talent or any other scouting sites that's where those messages come from I've  talked to people from those numbers and been sent to auditons and no chargers on my phone

Got the same text, pretty sure it's spam. Oh how I wish it was real.

Text reads: ABC Action Fantasy TV series Once upon a Time, seeking upcoming stars. Roles are limited, call 702-765-4348 nor for information.

They just texted me also, very strange.

My son just got the same exact text...pretty fishy if you ask me

Text message from (702) 728-2646:

"Upcoming actors needed for movie starring Emma Watson. Call now to get started 702-765-4348. Earn E842 daily Reply Stop to Stop"

I assume calling either number back would result in expensive per-minute charges on your next phone bill.
