We got a call from this number today at 4:46 pm and didn't answer. The caller ID was UNKNOWN NAME. When I called back (our number is blocked by default), I heard a recording that it was Precision Opinion stating "We are a market research firm conducting public opinion survey work via the telephone" and that they are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry. They will be added to our call blocker.

Called but left no message.

Yeah, sure, its a survey...  They actually may not try to sell you anything...   just sell 'you' (your demographic profile) to myriad telemarketing slime to whom DNC means nothing, because <sarcasm> you never knew you were such a perfect fit for their target market! </sarcasm>

Someone called from this number on our land line and said he was conducting a public opinion survey and wanted to ask me a few questions about things in the news. "What state do you live in?" "Massachusetts." "Wait .. uh, Massachusetts ... that's a state, right?" "Yes." And then I hung up.

They keep calling at any time. I don't have any bussiness with them and they refuse to tell me the name of the company and just say that it's for national research. They proceed to ask for the oldest man in the house or some one 25 yrs or older. I keep asking them from what company are they calling and no answer has been provided.

Has called multiple times today.  Claims not to be selling something but only asking general public opinion.  Wanted my age.  I said no.  She said 'What are you telling me?" I replied, "I said no".  Wanted my age category.  Again I said I no.  She hung up. Las Vegas NV showed instead of caller I'd.

after 2 weeks of peace & quiet (after all the usual scammers decided to stop bugging us) a whole slew of calls from new #'s have started coming in-- this is one of them :P

702-815-2394 / Caller rang me, and I asked if she was aware of us being on the no call list.  She said it was her job to call, and they don't have to pay attention to do not call lists.  Brittany, the caller, proceeded to be rude and condescending, making fun of our requests to not be called.  She did not respond to our requests to be taken off of the list, and instead played childish phone games, like she thought it was funny to get us all upset, calling us at home, even though we clearly stated we do not want to be called.  The caller was so rude, I had to give the phone to my wife, because the caller proceeded to make fun of me, for not wanting to be called at home.  No kidding, most upsetting call of the month.  Just awful.  Please help with unwanted callers, salesmen, political, opinion based, or otherwise.  My opinion, in case anyone is interested, IS THAT I DO NOT WANT TO BE CALLED AT HOME BY STRANGERS! NEVER EVER EVER.  Recorded the call.  I will kill a stranger who calls my kids and talks to them this way, they're lucky they ran into me instead.  If I would have learned about them talking this way to my children, I would have mobilized and hurt someone.  This is not a funny game, these phone people are playing.  Someone is going to get hurt, eventually.

Well Ed, I'm glad you bought a call blocker. Thats a step to helping yourself rather then depending on the DNC completely to do a job that it was not intended for.   It does  work, just not the way most seem to think it should..    Try reading up on it instead of passing hooey myth. Knowledge is power they do say!

800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also.

Charities, along with some survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards. Some states do not allow them to call on their state DNC laws which can differ from the federal.

The DNC list only works for legitimate, law-abiding companies.  It does not stop scammers and spammers from calling - none of whom are known for complying with federal law.

Called me at 9:26 pm on a Tuesday. .. sent to vm. ..

They called me today.  I told them I wouldn't talk on my cell phone.

Same as many others have reported.  I've placed my phone # on no call list but I continue to receive unwanted sale/scam calls.  Help!

They called here said they were doing a survey and asked for the youngest male 16 yrs of age or older, told them we don't do surveys. I'm pretty sure legit survey always need someone who is at least 18 yrs of age or older, not sure why they would want to survey a male only anyway let alone the age they asked for, just strange. I like the T-Lock idea someone suggested, think I'll get one, thks.
