Did not answer, no message

Carpet cleaning SCAM!!!  I pressed "1" to schedule an appointment hoping to speak with a person so I could file a complaint.  Girl wouldn't identify herself and hung up when I asked what company this was.

Both me and wife got calls on our cell phones from them.  No idea how they got both our numbers.  Also got knocks at the door at around the same time of the calls, not sure if it's related.

Got a call to my cell phone from this number but I didn't answer it. They left no message. I blocked my number and called it back, got a recording saying the number was no longer in service.

they've called several times & I never answer, no message. I also tried calling back from my work line & got a not in service message. How shady!!

I was called by them today and last week.  I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number and of course they left no message.  Same thing, I called back a couple times and got the "Your call cannot be completed as dialed.  Please check the number and dial again.  129T (or '081T')".  I wonder how the hell they were able to set that up?

I've now stored their number on my phone as "FAKE NUMBER" so the next time they call I'll answer it.  I think it may be a carpet cleaning service (from a past experience) and I'm going to do whatever it takes to identify them, even if it means making an appointment to have them come over so I can get a real number, business card, or even a vehicle license plate number.

Got call from the following number.  Asked the caller how she got my number and she hung up.

Same thing just happened to me. I got a call from this number and I didnt know who it was. When I answered I just heard a bunch of static. Then I tried to call back and it said the number wasnt in service.

I was just on my computer and decided to look it up and saw a bunch of stuff about this phone number. weird.

got a call from 702-907-6847. me and my husband both have been getting calls on our cell phones from this number we havent been answering and they never leave a message. they just called again and i answered and said hello 3 - 4 times and noone said anything at all. im getting pretty sick of the phone calls so if someone finds out how to make them stop please let me know. my husband called back to see if he could see who it was and said he got a message saying "your call cannot be completed at this time"

Unlike the wortheless DoNotCall website which relies on your lazy State Attornety General do something (which they won't), the FCC does take enforcement action.  The FCC acts quickly and you will even get an acknowledgement letter in the postal mail in about a week or two.

When filling out the form, make sure you say that they are trying to sell you something so the FCC doesn't reject your complaint. It is illegal to call, regardless of what is said, if it is a prelude to sell you something, which this is.

I was called by a local business for over two years and my DoNotCall website complaints did nothing. I even sent a postal letter to my State Attorney General asking why they weren't enforcing it. Their office replied telling me to file a complaint at DoNotCall.gov. Gee, that's what I did for over two years and it did nothing.

When I filled out the FCC online complaint form, the calls stopped and have for more than two years. The company was warned first by the FCC but they kept calling so I kept complaining to the FCC. After a few months I got a letter from the FCC saying they took enforcement action and I haven't heard from the company since.

If you want, keep a log of the calls so when they call in the future you can show this on the online complaint form.  I just email myself the quick details with the date, time, and number of the telemarketer and keep it in a Do Not Call folder in my Yahoo mail box.

Just got a call from them now. I don't answer incoming calls unless I recognize the #, so I rejected it. Glad I did. Now I'll block it and that will be that.

I got a call from this number just a few days ago, to be exact Jan. 12th, 2010 and no one was there....(they waste my minutes)!!!!

I got a call from 702-907-6847 and the call was a prerecorded message about carpet cleaning. It gave me an option to press 1 if I would like to either get more information or schedule for my carpet to be cleaned, so I pressed 1 and immediately got disconnected. I talked to the FCC at 888-225-5322 and the woman I talked to told me that I need to have a name and a number in order for them to follow through with the complaint. Also they can be fined over $16,000 per incident for what they are doing. the following is copy and pasted from the FCC complaint form 1088G.

Several FCC rules protect consumers who use wireless communications devices such as cell phones and pagers from calls or messages that may be costly, tie up the line, or deliver unwanted advertising.
? The FCC prohibits the use of automatic telephone dialing systems or prerecorded messages to call such wireless communications devices unless the call is made for emergency purposes or with the called party?s prior express permission. You may not know whether or not a call you received used an automatic dialing system. Calls to multiple telephone lines in quick succession often involve an automatic dialing system. Automatic dialing systems are used by many entities that regularly make calls to large numbers of telephone lines including telemarketers who rely heavily on such systems to conduct their business.
? The FCC prohibits sending unsolicited commercial e-mail messages to such wireless communications devices. The FCC?s ban on sending ?spam? to wireless devices applies to all commercial messages ? messages for
which the primary purpose is to advertise or promote a commercial product or service ? unless you have provided prior express authorization for the message to be sent. The FCC?s ban does not cover ?transactional or relationship? messages, which are notices to facilitate a transaction you have already agreed to. Determining whether an automatic dialing system has been used to make a particular call or identifying and locating a sender of spam can be difficult. The more details you are able to provide, the greater the
likelihood that the FCC will be able to determine whether a violation has occurred that could lead to an enforcement action.

Got a call from that number today. No one was there when I picked up aswell.

I've gotten called from this number twice this week. Each time I pick up, there's no one there.

Just called my cell phone, didn't leave a message.

I am on the DNC registry and just got a call from this number.  They didn't leave any information on how to opt out or how to contact them.  I would really like to know who they are so I can report them

This number just called me. I was pissed as I am on the DNC registry. When I asked the girl on the phone who she worked for and how they got my number she just hung up. Anyone know what company this is? I'm a lawyer and would love to bring  suit forward.

Weird I literally just got call by this number not 5 min ago. I thought it might be the 7eleven I just applied at but no dice. When you callback you get, "this number is not in service"
