This number called, and I mistakenly answered thinking it was a friend who lives in Las Vegas.  It was a woman who asked if she could count on a one-time donation from me for breast cancer and that someone would deliver a packet to my door.  Said no thanks.

Yes, problem is that they never do take you off their list. My question is DOES THE DO NOT CALL REGISTER WORK? I have been on that and still continue to get unsolicited calls. Also, isn't there some restriction on calling cell phones or text messages due to possible air time and text charges??

Woman asked if I would make donation for drugs for female cancer victims. Asked how she got my number, she said they buy from various sources. I told her I was on "DO NOT CALL" list. She proceeded to make me feel guilty not donating and would not even let me speak. Hung up.

I received this call at work and all it said (in a robotic tone) was "I'm sorry about that, I'll update our records. Thanks." Then the call dropped...

It can't and doesn't stop the illegal callers from calling. Just because there is a law, its just another one for the criminals to break.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Caller ID read unknown name, call came in at 8:30 p.m., an inappropriate time to call a stranger. No message left. I am listed with the DO NOT CALL registry, for all the good that does.

Keep using different phone numbers to call our home.  We don't know you, did not ask you to call, and every time you ring our phone the number you call from is immediately placed on the call block and you can't use that number to ring our phone ever again.  You will never, ever, as long as you live be able to contact us by telephone.  We don't answer the phone unless it is immediate family or previously approved callers.   You are losers and you will always lose when trying to reach us.  It won't happen.

Do not know anyone from tis nimber wish they would not  call.toput the nut in the shell do not give your number too anyone that work in department stores for some strange reason you start getting phone from those nuts .

This lady she says she is calling for breast cancer. I asked her how many bananas are available.....no matter what she say I demand bananas and keep asking her HOW MANY BANANAS!?......she hung up

According to Mr Numbers website the number is not valid, and if you got a call from this number it has been spoofed.

Tried to trace the call, but no luck. This makes me think it did not originate in Nevada, and probably was a "prepaid calling card" call from outside the United States. If anyone does get an envelope "to mail a contribution," write down the address, and then take the envelope with the address to your local postmaster, and tell them you want to file a "mail fraud" complaint. It is also "wire fraud" since the call was a scam. Postmasters were very helpful in the past, but I am not sure now, since the USPS is in a financial crisis. I tried the State Attorney General's complaint office. They said they would correlate my complaint with others, and if there are "enough" incidents of the same type, they would consider investigating it. Not sure what constitutes, "enough".  One person who uses the tragedy of breast cancer to steal money is "enough" for me to take action.

I get a call every single day after work.  I never answer it and they never leave a message.  Guess it's time to block this number.  I don't pick up if a call comes from an unknown number unless they leave a message telling me who they are and what they want.  Very annoying, EVERY DAY.....geez

No message after 3 rings - probably called one of the numbers I have forwarded to my personal phone.  Thanks for all posts, lets me know not to try and answer next time.

More annoying calls from this number?every evening at about the same time for the last week.    Haven't picked-up and no message left.

My husband answered, the person was looking for donations for Breast Cancer Research but sounded recorded. Caller listed the number as V61119060700532 702-978-6923. The person said  "We will send an envelope for the contribution. Doesn't have to be much, as low as $15.00." - A definite scam!!

They call every night around 9pm. So tired of them!!

Called my Google Voice number for the third time I the last week. No message, of course.

Scam ... I've seen this number before and done the research; they claim to do breast cancer fundraising but it's a total scam.

And lets be honest, these f****rs are going to hell for lying about doing breast cancer fundraising, and I don't even believe in god.

I got a call this morning from this number but didn't answer and they didn't leave a message, but I have gotten several calls for breast cancer donation. I tell them that I donate to my local cancer center and pray for the patients but can't afford to donate any where else.

Our number is unpublished.  0915 today I got a call from this number, I didn't answer.  This is the third call from this number in a week.  

Sunday evening  and we are getting an illegal, unsolicited phone call.  We never answer these unidentifiable phone numbers and or names etc.  We let the answering machine take the call.  If they don't leave a message, we block that number forever.  Tuff luck succers.  You can't get to us and rip us off by any means.  Get a life!

We mostly post here to let others know whom might be calling from the unknown number, though we don't always know who it is, if it's a spoofed or out-of-country caller ID. Most who check this site, and most who post here, do not expect help to get the unknown callers to stop calling them, though sometimes weird suggestions pop up on how to annoy the callers back, and other times the responses here tell others to report the calls. It is often pointed out that certain numbers should be reported, even if they're spoofed, and especially if the poster or reader has their number on the Do Not Call list. Some post here just to vent too.

In any case, some of the calls reported here are from legit telemarketing firms, credit reduction companies, and collection agencies and these can be reported. If the numbers are spoofed it won't have much, if any, effect to do report them as scammers mostly can't be caught since the numbers are untraceable. Sometimes the calls are from political organizations and even some legit non-profits. These should not be reported as they have the right to call anyone in the USA, which is still annoying but not against the law. These legit organizations should take you off the call roster, if you request it.

My number is an unlisted number!  I don't understand how they get it but I want this person to stop calling me!  NOW!

Just called my cell.......looking for my husband...I said he was not here and I got well we are actually looking for either of you....then told me they were calling on behalf of breast cancer patients.  Tried to interupt her to say I was at work could not get a word in so I hung up.
