202 567-6167 is the phone number of a scammer who uses "too good to be true" rental listings in Craigslist all over the country to lure gullible people.  Save yourself the hassle of dealing with someone who wants to rip you off.

Same thing happened to me. Got the number on Craigslist and was interested because of the low rent and newer looking apartment. I called and a rep answered the phone and was very pushy trying to get me to sign up for unlimited access to listings in my area (Orlando, FL) that needed no credit check or app fee. I asked when I had to pay and she said today. I said I needed to think about it and research the company and the reply was "Fine" and got hung up on. So glad I found this site so I never call back again. I plan to report the post to craigslist.

I called a number on a CL add also and was given the same pitch. The lady told me that I can just go to their website www.hsshomes.com and check the legitimacy, I did and guess what, it lead me to another website trying to sell rent to own properties. After I told her I didn't feel secure giving her my info over the phone she hung up.

The site is legit and the homes are too. I don't know why people who are "LAZY" rather waste time posting negative stuff when if you would have signed up they would've gotten help finding one of their homes. I did. And now I'm living in a 3 bedroom home in Los Angeles and paying only $850 per month for 3 years per the agreement. Who's the scammer now!!! Do your due diligence before trying to downplay some thing that works. Suckas!!!

I called on a listing on graigslist and got a sales pitch to sign me up for the service at $19.99. They gave me an address in Beverly Hills. When I told the guy I was going to check out the company to see if it was legitamate before I handed over $20, he hung up. Guess that answers my question. Obviously a SCAM!

I too called the # off craigslist in austin texas.I kinda wonder if its just so them can get all ur info.it has to be fake.I was caught by the rent being so cheep & house looking so new & nice.To good 2 be true.

I'm in Houston, Tx and called this number after seeing it in a few ads on craigslist too. I got to talk to someone, who didn't seem to understand why I was calling, then I got disconnected. The message said HSS Homes too, I would just report anymore ads like this that you see on craigslist so they'll know about it.

I tried calling 303-569-7808, 202-567-6167, 678-609-6149. I got a recording and no answer, no link to get help or leave a message.  I am currently in the D.C. area.

I saw this phone number for a craiglists ad for a home for rent in Maryland. When I called the number, I received a recording that I reached HSS Homes and no one was available at this time, to leavea message and someone would get back to me, which I did not. I cold not find a HSS Homes, other than proerty inspection firms anywhere on the internet.

This number is on a housing ad in Boise ID too. I personally think its some kind of scam!!!
