Digitally generated voice told me my debit card is locked.  Press 1 to be transferred to 24 hr security.  I guess somebody must fall for this because they are still trying it!

Just another scam, no one will ever do anything to these a***oles so just ignore and move on

I got the call saying my debit card with some bank I've never heard of had been frozen.  It was a computer generated messagethat said I had to press 1 to connect with the security department.  Total scam!  I just hung up and blocked the number.  

I received an automated call from this number today 11/8/2013, telling me that "Commonwealth Bank" bank had stopped my debit card and I should  press "1" to be connected to a customer service rep to resolve the issue.

Just received a call from this tn saying my debit card was locked and to press 1 to proceed.  Yeah right  Don't even have a debit card.

Got a call from this number - robotic voice said it was from "national credit union" something and that my debit card had been suspended

I got the same call. Just about 10 mins ago. Couldn't understand what they were saying. Never put in a card number. Finally just hung up. Stupid Scammers have nothing better to do I guess.

Just got the same call.  Heard on the news it is a scam.  I just ignored it.

Called my cell phone, which number I haven't given to anyone but family, so I know it's a wrong no., sales call or scam to start with. Left a message that my credit card has been locked, so it's a scam.

This is probably a spoofed no. so it will be difficult for authorities to track down.

Myself and two others all got calls from this number this evening. None of us answer unknown numbers and no message was left.

Received same scam message from 702-997-1234  today 8/25/13 @ 6:48pm cst.  Master card account compromised, account security threat and potential loss, etc., etc.  Call disconnected after about 20 seconds of my just listening.  Tried to return the call, non-working number.

Just got a call from this number about 5 minutes ago on my cellphone...as I do not answer calls from unknown numbers, it was no problem.

recording advised my bank debit card was shut off. asked me to enter my account number. obviously i didn't do it. funny thing was they called me at exactly the same time as they rang my husband's cell (1 digit off) with the same scam.

August 25 I got a call this morning from this number stating it was First State Bank in Las Vegas. I don't have any credit card accounts with the bank. I checked to be sure my USBank card had not been compromised. This type of call if very annoying, but I know better than to press 1. Thanks for all the posts.

The recoded voice said it was US Bank (who I do not use) and that my debit card was locked due to suspicious activity and to press 1 to be transfered to the security department to reactivate.  I did nothing and it eventually disconnected. Extremely illegal.  Going to other watchdog sites.  I hope this person/group gets nailed.

Got a call purportedly from first technology credit union asking me to press 1 to be routed to the 24 hour security center to unlock my locked debit card. I hung up, it's a scam

GOt this call today stating my 1st state bank was locked.  I don't even have first state bank cards.... te number came up las vegas on my cell phone.

My number is on the DNC listing..A cell phone...Sick of these calls!

This number called my cell phone today and said all of our credit cards have been blocked.  The number showed up 000-000-0000.  My husband's phone picked up the number when they called his cell phone an hour later.  We didn't press anything because knew our cards were fine.  How do these people get our cell numbers?

Got call stating debit card was being locked.  Called bank no problem with card.  Cancelled it anyway and having them send a new one.

I was just in Las Vegas last week , I'm sure someone has gotten a hold of my phone # somehow . Thanks for these posts , it's the first thing I do when I dont recognize a number . I won't be answering anytime soon .

caller saying call was being recorded, my chase card was suspended, wanted my background identity info. I don't own a chase card

I received a call from 702-997-1234 which went to voice mail.  Only a portion of the recorded call was recorded so all I heard was "press 1 now to reach our security department".  I tried dialing the number and got a recording saying the number was "not available" and to check the number and try the call again.  Thanks to all who posted their experiences.

Had a call on my cell phone from this number stating the call was from National Credit Service, call would be recorded for quality purposes and that my debit card had been suspended. Was supposed to press a number to be connected to someone, but I just hung up.

I see clearly this is a scammer or telemarketer because you can't call them back yet listed as a landline. Have them stopped immediately!

Yep. They said my debit card is locked. Lies.

recorded voice said my debit card was locked.  press 1 to proceed.  I did.  they wanted me to key in my 16 digit card number.  are you kidding me?  I hung up.

Synthesized voice stating that my debit card has been locked, press 1 to speak to their 24 hour something-or-other department.  Did not press 1, but stayed on the line.  The caller hung up after less than 30 seconds with no other prompts or a repeated message.  Most likely a phishing scheme and totally illegal, both for the fraudulent aspect and the unwanted call.
