I posted housing on CL and got this scammer who called himself 'Sharon Smith'. Same as previously, 'she' wanted to rent the apt and said she would send the check; she asked me to pay for the car delivery before she actually come here; i did receive a check that looks like a real check; after i got the check, she wanted me to immediately transfer money to western union to someone called Floyd Harper (the so-called car dealer).
All of these communications are through texts only. I couldn't get through the phone obviously because that's google voice.
And the scammer even sent pictures (from someone's profile, I guess) to me to make me believe she is what she said

I posted on Craigslist "Spanish Tutor" I got this email asking me if I am still looking for a job, he say I should call for more details, his name here was Sammy.

GIANT scam - I posted an ad on craigslist boston for grad student housing,
Name was ELIZABETH BROWN - email is elizabethm8t@gmail.com.
I knew it the minute she said she would send a check for the rent - and once I received said check was told to TEXT her for further directions,
Got the check, brought it to my bank - NO SUCH ROUTING NUMBER - NO SUCH ACCOUNT NUMBER.
So, beware - she would like you to deposit her check and then pay for things, meanwhile the check is bouncing. S0, you are out of the money!

Posted a web development add on craigslist Houston, got a response saying "you still looking for work? pls text me at *the above number*... Text only" It seemed odd that someone looking to correspond on web development would want to communicate solely through text as it is hard to convey the full desired specifications for a website through sms messeges, so I looked up the number and found this.

Now the voice mail is in the name Tony Lamonte.

Same Google Voice forwarding number.  Same text only request.  Same CL Scammer.

Add for Students to take up dorm space in a complex.  Received an email saying "she" was from France. Booked a room and said the payment was coming via FedEx, her belongings to include a Car would be coming separate from "her" arrival.  Upon request of Waiver of Indemnity for delivery of personal belongings a text message from 702-997-4062 asking me to text back.  Googled the number...Thank God! Clearly a scam when I was told asking for a waiver was black mail.

I almost got in to this scam don't let that people put you on trouble they told me to buy a versa checks #1000 or #3000 and waybills from ups and FedEx whic are free and the versa checks $20 and they ask me for my yahoo mail but I stop cause first I don't event know the person it call it self Alex kinz second I call him or she and a answered machine said hello pls said you name and google voice will try to reach and some weird voice saying tony lamante or something.stranger danger that's what I told them and scamers .

said is a cpa firm name is alex and would pay me 1200 bucks per month if i had a scanner printer and copier...i asked for information about "cpa" firm to be e mailed back and nothing as of yet!  googled the number and found this out...LOL...this was a craigs list add I had for work wanted....TROLLLLLLLL

Sent me a message responding to my work ad on cl. Asked to text number than asked me to go to OfficeMax and buy check paper he will pay me 1200 per month ...ha!!! For printing bogus checks! Clearly a scam!

Posted a CL ad for a roommate.  Received a Reply today from an anonymous CL address asking me to text 702-997-4062.

Called instead.  It's a Google Phone Number shielding the real phone number of the Sender.  Voice mail is from a lowlife illiterate named Tony asking the caller to leave their name, address, number, etc.

Got an email in response to a house cleaning Ad I posted on craigslist. Person said I should text that number for details about a job.

Craigslist scammer. Will have a fraudulent check delivered to you and request that you wire transfer money before the check has time to clear. This will be for an urgent cause such as possibly losing their position in buying a car from someone.

Also associated with the number (323) 364-2127

1. this craigslist troller - can't speak legibly thus is an uneducated piece of rotted fecal dung
2. everyone needs to send all trolling spam emails to spam@uce.gov
3. everyone need to as well - when there's identifiable info in the spam emails- such as a phone number - one needs to file a federal complaint to : https://complaint.ic3.gov/ctf.aspx = this is a group effort formed by the FBI & FTC

Received a reply from:     smith (ben.johnson0801@gmail.com) with some indecipherable answer regarding a job.  

Reply asked me to call or text 702-997-4062.  Called the number and reached some low-life named Chaz.

Clearly a scam

posted and add for room mate on craigslist. claims she is in Guam borne in Germany and studying to get her masters degree. in what she wont say. she will tell you that she needs you to pick up a car for her be for she gets there to live with you abd that her father is paying for it all.  her email address will change after a few messages. iv also got one email identical to hers from a different girl but from Scotland. i called the number and a male named "Chad" was the one on the voice mail. i did get a very real check from the "American friends of Russian Jewish congress" from Washington DC's Eagle bank. the A.F.R.J.C. is located in the Washington university- development and alumni relations building down the street from the bank. the only discrepancy with the name on the check is that the "American friends of Russian Jewish congress" needs to have the word "the" between "of" and "Russian" to match the actual corporations name. also on the craigslist website the option to report scams has been removed from the messages you will receive. this indicates that craigslist's security has been compromised by this person who may also be a hacker.

Posted an ad for room mate on craigslist. Claims she is in puerto Rico and college student. I suspect some kind of flim flam...
