This guy is an idiot.  He called about a job offer and I told him it was a bad time to talk about such things (at work an' all)....and then he gets annoyed when I say I will call him back.
What a moron.

Ben Johnson called me today at my home phone number. I thought this was weird because I have never put my home phone number in my resume to my knowledge. He gave me the schpeel about being an individual part of a larger company and how I could make enormous amounts of money ect. Then he wanted me to set an appointment to meet up with him because he couldn't explain any more over the phone without it making sense (his words). He also told me that if I was going to cancel I had to to it 24 hours beforehand so it wouldn't screw up his schedule. Then I researched the company and found this. Now I'm I going to call back and cancel.

Just set up an appointment with Ben and man am I glad I decided to do some research.   Reviews from this site and others have been helpful and he works for Primerica.   Primerica is a "multi-level marketing" company, a.k.a. a pyramid scheme.   Needless to say I'll be cancelling my appointment.

I've read through the other posts and thought I should report the same...

I too received a call from this gentleman this afternoon and he left me the same canned/vague voice mail that he has many others over the last year or two. I didn't call him back and won't be. Very sketchy indeed...

I also got a call from this person called Ben today, I have not applied for a job so i said, I am not interested.  but he was very RUDE and said, if so why your resume on the job site. This guys seems to be calling harassing the people like us. I am not in a financial field, i don't even know, why he is called me. I think he is just calling people and harassing them, if they say they are not interested.

I know his phone number (703 201 4787), I really would like to report about people like him.He waste others time but try to cheat and harass others.

To anyone considering the offer for work (which all reasonably street smart folks shouldn't), this gentleman called me several times during a certification training for a job.  I finally got in touch with him.  And as many others have mentioned, he never gave the name of the company he represented.  So I respectfully declined; he called me again a few days later.

At this point, dealing with my insurance company after my gf was injured in a car accident, I'd clearly forgotten to jot down his number. I answered the phone expecting my claims adjuster.  You can imagine my disappointment when it was Ben Johnson instead.  I hung up.  He then left me a comically vulgar voicemail which I've saved:

"Hello, this is Ben Johnson again, and, uh... you f****ng child you hung up on me.  Um, I'm not sure what your problem is but you obviously don't want to be successful and I know a nice guy like me shouldn't have considered offering you work.  You obviously have growing up to do before you f****ng get anywhere in the world.  So good luck with the rest of your life and I don't wish you success."

Verbatim.  Take of that what you will, but if this gentleman was truly representing a legitimate company, he would've had at least the common sense not to leave such a bitter and vulgar message on someone's voicemail.  Where it can be saved.  And used against him.

Here it is 9/2012 and this idiot is still calling people.  I would say it is MONSTER.COM although I don't recall giving my phone number to them it sure is possible.  I dont answer unknown phone calls and have turned the recorder off due to psycho's calling here along with the cable companies and other sales calls and the bells are off too.  Out going calls only!

Received a similar call on 8/24/2012. Came here to check "Ben's" phone number and saw the above post with the address.

Since I work nearby, I checked out 512 Herndon Pkwy, Suite J, and found that it is an address for ETaxi.

According to their website, they "focus on the electronic payments in transportation industry, particularly wireless credit and debit card processing in taxis and related vehicles.  Furthermore, we also integrate other industry-critical services such as digital dispatching and automated cashiering as part of our one-stop-shop solution that can be customized to serve particular needs of any taxi operator in any jurisdiction."

So maybe he's legit, but it's not something that really interests me, so I won't be calling back.

Add me to the list... Ben called me first a few days ago wanting to offer me a managerial position. The only thing I could think of was that he got my phone number from Linkedin which is why I just removed it. Since the position was not in my line of work I had no interest in leaving my current job but he kept pushing and I told him I would do some research on his company and call him back. I forgot all about it until he called back yesterday but I was in the middle of something and told him I would call him later. Just sat down to do some digging on the company and googled his phone number and saw this posting. Thanks for the heads up.... glad I went with my gut!

Received several messages from Ben, same as above, wanting to talk about a job with his company but doesn't state the position he is trying to fill or the company name. He probably found my number on career builder. His messages definitely sound more like a sales call then legitimate job offer. Wont be returning his calls.

Got a call from him about 6 months back, researched the building he was talking about in Herndon, supposedly where the office is located DOES NOT EXIST. There is a bunch of banks and small offices around there he would not give me a direct address. Not sure how he got my phone number but he called me back after 6 months, and wanted to "follow up", he seems legit but I know that the company he is referring to does not exist. Obviously a scam!

Same thing happened to me today. The same Ben left me a message but didn't say anything about the name of the company, which seemed suspicious to me. Because I'm looking for a job I thought about calling him back. Thanks to these reviews I won't!. I'm glad I checked the number first.
