Same s*** and ignored it since none of my accounts deal with beneficial bank.

I also got the text at 2:23 a.m. It was very weird, because I've never had an account with Beneficial.

I received text alert from this number also - at 227am!!! I never even gave the bank my cell number and no way would they send a text - I ignored it!!!

Got a text this afternoon from 2781@text.com implying that I call 7032278400.called and activated voice instructed me to put my 16 digit debit card #. My wife is on a cruise so I thought she had used my card to make a purchase on Cabo , or Dominican Republic , and the bank was alerting me.Thank God I trust my wife and did not respond on impulse or I would've got scammed.Nevertheless I was shook up initially by the text.....

Also received a text from this number from "Beneficial Bank" it would not have been a regular number, it would have been an 800 or 877 number, and banks do not text.

I got this same textl at 2:21 AM.  Called the bank to report it. They said that they would never ask for account number because they have it. They received several complaints today about the same text.

Same deal, Both my mom and my phone's were texted with a "Beneficial BankAlert" and we were told to call 703 277 8400. The text was from My1@text.com.

Received text from this number tono my mobile phone as an Alert from Beneficial Banking from 2781@text.com insisting on calling 703-227-8400 to verify your debit card. When the number is called, a very serious voice dictates to enter your 16 digit debit card number. This is clearly a phishing scam.
