from some credit company wanting money from me

It is from a company called NCO, having to do with Capital One. Their system is very annoying and most of the time calling your home after 9 pm and not saying anything!!!

Calls from 703-229-1571 left on my cell at 6:01 pm & 8:34 pm 2/6/08.  No message.  Didn't recognize number.

really rotten caller.  Said they would keep calling back. The person they seek is unknown to me.  But he would not listen, just disconnected.

This number calls several times a week and when you answer the phone no one is on the other end but you can hear the line is open.

Got this in conjunction with several other calls from various area codes.   I won't answer it, but if they are anything like the others, it is a scam.

I got this call at 8:34 am as well 3 times in a row with no message, very strange!

Called my house twice yesterday, 3x today.  10:38 AM, 1:31 PM, and 4:36 PM.  No message left.

They call me everyday for a woman wit the same last name but no relation. I tell them everyday that I do not know this person. It's something to do with a company called NCO I think.

I have had my current number for over 10 months. Before I had the number another party owned the number and owe several creditors. I first registered my number w/the do not call list. I alos told each creditor that called that this was a new number and I am on the do no call list and would like the solicitation to stop. Of course they refused.  I then contaced an attorney. I first sent them a cease and assist letter. Of course that did not work. In the mist of that I began to document all call from all Collections agencies. I also went to the PSC,FTC,BBB,Consumer Affairs, Attorney General Office in FL as well. this was done as a record so when we get to court there would be no..ooh we did not know. To make a long story short. I'm currently suing over 10 collections/creditors. We are in the last stages of settling and gues what I'm getting around 3-5 thousand from each creditor/collection agency. The violations: calling after 9:00, violating the fdcpa,frca and harassment. Remember I do not owe the debt never owe. I was also told that even if you owe the debt and the continue the harassment htey would end up oweing you. People do you research and take legal action that is the only way thet will stop. Now I'm laughing all the way to the bank...

Get a call every morning and afternoon from 703-229-1571 NCO finacial. Spoke to them and explained I lost my job and will pay them as soon as I can. Dame if they don't call the next day and ask the same question again
Doesn't anybody write messages down and enter DATA? What do these people expect changes in 24 hrs? It's harresment and I don't know what you can do to stop it. I owe them money but with no job, I'm going to the nursery's around town to see who has a money tree I can plant!!!!

i received 2 calls this morning from this number... Never left a voicemail though. Yesterday afternoon i also got one from 310 862 9033. also 877 803  8009. I also constantly get a call from 631 761 1089 and get a recording that says "hello, mrs. mack has an important business issue..." anyone getting that one? have been getting it for MONTHS

NCO Financial calls me the best part is the ask for my father, on my cell phone number how would they even know to call my cell phone yet ask for my father how would they know we are connected, this is rediculous!

I have 1 credit card and it ain't (nor will it ever be) from Capital One.  I've been getting calls from these people too... apparently the person who had my cell phone before me defaulted on their credit card.  I also get calls on 310-862-9033.  Call Capital One @ 1-800-427-9428 to get the calls stopped.

They called me today at 4:28 PM.  The caller id says NCO fincl svs.  I don't have a Capital One card, and as far as I know, no outstanding debts.

This place is calling me on the weekends. I do not know who they are and I will not answer. They do not leave messages either. This is extremely annoying.

They call me 3 times a day EVERY DAY. I ask them to take me off their list because the person they are looking for, "Sonia Diaz", is not at this number. I have had the same number for 3 years and they are still calling me.

Someone got a hold of my Capital One purchasing checks and have cashed $6k. I filed Fraud with Capital One and reported it to the Police Department. I've been getting collection calls from 703-229-1571 and letters from collection agencies as well. This said, Capital One is an irresponsible company who does not take customer complaints properly and seriously. I informed these Collection agencies numerous times that this is Fraud and I am not responsbile for these payments.

Yeah, I'm in Florida and this afternoon 3/17/08 I got a call from the above number.  It said to wait for an important message but then disconnected.  I notice from the above other people who got calls who said this is a collection agency for Capital One.  I don't have a Capital One card, and I checked my cards and none are related to Capital One, so I'm perplexed.

been receiving this call from NCO tel # 310 862 9033 even on weekends and right before 9pm but since we don't recognize them we never pick up the call,they never leave a message either which means to us that it is an unimportant call so I would say ignore it folks !

I have been receiving calls from NCO Financial Services/NCO. I have no idea who are these people. They never leave messages so I don't return their calls. I am in the military and seeing NCO on your called id makes me think if this is work related. I am glad I decided to google this and saw this blog. This company calls me multiple times a day and never leaves a message.  When I answer the phone and tell them my husband is not at home, they get angry with me and are rude... they even called me a liar once!  It wouldn't be so bad to get these phone calls, if they wouldn't start right at 8am every morning, and call until just before 9pm every night!  We are not getting any peace, and we don't even owe them any money!

This is the first call from this number. We have gotten several calls a day from Capital One since I brought the phone back to the office with the new number. Our organizing document forbids credit so we couldn't have a credit card if we wanted one. We certainly have not done business with Capital One. I have filed criminal complaints with the atty gen office in Virginia and our local state. Apparently Capital One has forwarded this account to NCO for collection to get out of criminal charges. That makes NCO the criminal.

I've received numerous calls from this number but I don't answer phone calls that I'm not familiar with, but I did call back to see what this was and it was a collection agency for Capital One.  I  requested that they remove this number, as it was for someone who no longer had that number - that was almost a month ago.  I've gotten several calls since then so I called back and demanded that the number be removed; I was "assured" that it was no longer in their system and that it would take complete effect within 72 hours.  We'll see...
