Do Not Call list, yet another dis-service of our delightful federal government, is completely worthless.   Admittedly, worthless is preferable over outright harmful which is too often the case these days.  Don't waste your time with Do Not Call  as I believe I'm safe in saying it's totally unattended and ignored and ineffective.  Just something to make you feel good about your government.  Remember!  I'M FROM THE GUVM'T AND I'M HERE TO HELP YOU.  Hardly!!!  
Then get to amazon.com and purchase yourself a call-block gadget and whenever the unwanted calls come, block them.  Nearly all are blocked completely and you never hear a ring; however, there are some which, for whatever reason, will ring one time.  So whenever you hear one ring, pause for the second and if there's no second ring, you know it's done its job.   Nothing's perfect but much better than any other solution I've found.

The girl identified herself but I don't recall but said she was from CareNet (sounded like one of his Ins. providers)... She asked for my elderly father & I told her I would be happy to help her. She asked for him again, I repeated my statement, then she hung up on me. I did call the number and apparently it's for political donations. If you're into giving, go ahead and talk to them the next time they call. I however opted to put my number on their DNC list.

I, too, keep getting this number on my cell phone.  ???
