i got a call from that number as well. some crazy asian chick sounded like a recording tho. dunno what to make of it either. very strange.

This is a marketing stunt from Scion.  Chances are, whoever put your name in the psych test is behind it.  Any publicity is good publicity I guess.

Ok, so I guess I'm one more on the list. I just got the freaky phone call from this number and then googled the number and found this info. Any ideas on what to do or where to report these guys?

Yeah!  i just got that call. They actually said my NAME. they said its _____, from san francisco!! and i said hellO??? nobody answered. then when i called back, there was a recording that sounded like a japanese girl. weirrrddd. i don't think i know anyone in virginia!

OMG i got the same emails and phone calls as all of you.  I'm freaked out.

MCIMetro seems to be involved in a lot of phone scams.  Google them and see how many times the name shows up on pages like this one.

I was pretty freaked out by the first email followed by the phone call.  They have an awful lot of personal information which I think they took from a hacked database-- everyone viewing this page probably ordered something from a company with weak security.  It will be more or less impossible to determine which one.

But the scammers got my address wrong.  So, it isn't actually targeted at anyone in particular.  Rest assured it is just a stupid scam -- I think it is designed to direct you to a file or website or something.  It's quite sophisticated but it also seems pointless.  Don't call back, write back, and definitely don't ever give anyone any personal information.  If anything, register a complaint with the company providing the phone number:

And just ignore any e-mails from

I got the same exact thing... mind you i wasn't exactly lucid for the phone call part so i just hung up saying they had the wrong number.
