THIS IS MY OPINION.. As soon as my National Rifle Assoc membership expired these calls started coming every day, 6 sometimes 7 days a week I even got the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. I have gotten calls from Veterans charities, Child Cancer Care, American Petroleum Inst, along with all sorts of scam / spam calls. I called back 5 separate of the many phone numbers that claimed to be the National Rifle Assoc. A while back I sent three e-mails via the contact on the National Rifle Assoc web page asking if 3 of the numbers were in fact theirs, and if not they should do something about it. My response was NO RESPONSE AT ALL!! I have read that there is a 3rd party calling for them called, Infocision, a telemarketing firm.  Apparently Infocision has sold my number to spam / scam people. My solution was to get caller ID, and bought a $60 - 1000 number call blocker off the internet that works like a charm. Once I hit the block button when the call comes in, or program the number if I miss the call, no more ringing of the phone. I will not join the NRA again after this, but I know I can contribute how much I want and when I want through other means. By the way, I saw a post where a guy didn't get his free gift for joining, I didn't either. When I called to get it I did get a duffel bag with NRA on it, but was going for the Stand and Fight logo.

Keeps calling my cell phone. Never leaves a message.

Keep getting calls from these clowns at National Recovery Agency.  I don't owe money.

Caller id said unknown name and this number.  They hung up before they triggered the answering machine

Oh, but the National Rifle Association does make calls of this nature. I received two today from this number. If the NRA denied it, they are lying as the woman on the phone plainly identified herself as being with the National Rifle Association.

Yes, the number is the NRA. They called me today (twice) and started reading their script about how Bloomberg is trying to ban all guns, etc.

Very disappointing that the NRA feels compelled to spam and harass their members (which I am one) for more money and overpriced junk. I will likely not renew my membership based on this type of activity.

The caller ID indicates the call is from NRA update.  We receive calls daily - they never leave message and hang up when you answer.

I get calls from 703-291-9005 sometimes twice a day, also from "Unavailable, Unknown" .   I don't know who they are and I don't answer these types of calls.

I get the calls too. I get some from the NRA but always talk to some one. Probably some anti-gun nuts trying to discredit the NRA!

It most assuredly is the National Rifle Association, I just called 703-291-9005 from my dedicated FAX line using *68 to mask my number.  Even if they figure out my number they will just get the FAX machine.

another idiot  calling using the 703 291 9005   sick n tired of them bothering me  seems they don't like a whistle so switch to another 703 number.  get same result  whistle blown into the phone . n I will continue to  use that toy whistle as  I need to.

After their repeated calling for the past month I finally answered and listened to a very lengthy spill about be upgrading my NRA membership to Benefactor. Of course they they are a contracted 3rd party for the NRA with employees who can talk for 5 minutes without breathing. Hopefully my few choice words got her attention.

"Private Name" showed up on the landlady's caller ID. For obvious reasons, that call was not answered.

The NRA calls me all the time asking for more money.  

For those saying this isn't the NRA, just call the number back.  It definitely is them and not a collection agency.

I noticed on my phone bill besides caller ID that I have something called call blocker. So I added this number and a few others. It's easy hit the dial tone, dial star 60 # 7032919005# and hopefully these morons won't call me again. Bon chance everone!

This is an attempt to slander the National Rifle Association. These calls have nothing to do with the real NRA.  Do not buy into this attempt to give the NRA a bad name.

I called the number and the recorded message states it is the National Rifle Association.

I called this number back and listened to a short NRA message.  They then gave instructions on how to remove your number from the call list.  We'll see what happens.

I'm 65 with elderly relatives every time the phone rings I jump. These miserable telemarkers have called every day ( I have caller ID) for the last two months any time from 0800- 2000. This morning as I was leaving for my annual medical check up one called. I started civil and nice but in describing the torment these thoughtless morons have put me through for the last two months I felt my blood pressure go higher and screamed to never call again.We have an anti NRA attorney general in this state and and he'd love to do battle with the NRA.

repeated calls, daily starting at 8:30 am -- caller id says "member services"

My caller I.d. says member services.  we are getting calls 2 to 3 times per day Monday through Sunday. I don't answer and they don't leave a voicemail.

I am an NRA Life Member and have never had them do some of the things I see reported on this site, therefore, I am forwarding your message to them to see if your problem can be resolved. Whenever they promise something, they always come through.  Hope you get a resolution.

Consistant calling daily all hours no messages left only on line long enough to activate message beeper

These b*****ds have been calling my home phone numerous times a day.  I finally have home phone service where I can block certain numbers.  Less than 2 days after doing that they're calling my mobile number now.  Blocked them there, too.  SOB's....

This is NOT the National Rifle Association. It's a scam to get you to call back their number. Doing so removes you from the Do Not Call List as you called them. A catch 22 in the b***s*** law. Re-register all your phone numbers back on the Do Not Call List again. It's a pain but necessary.

Call Member Service at the 800 number on the back of your membership card or in the center of your magazine in the Member Information & Benefits box (the center Official Journal section is the same in all of their mags) and they'll take care of you or let you know what the holdup is. New memberships are increasing so rapidly they sometimes cause a backlog from the suppliers; been there done that!
