Low life debt scum.  Send them a certified and return reciept letter explaining to them that you do not communicate with such filth, that they have to produce proof as to your identity [don't give them anything than your number and name!] and supposed debt they're phishing for...

The letter should specify that the company, it's retainers, employees and anyone/thing associated with them are not to contact you or anyone who might even remotely know you [I've got The Dahle Llama on my side] or you'll sue them into poverty.  Nice broad, general terms as to what they're not allowed to do so that ANYTHING other than doing an about-face and leave you alone is going to end in a bitter court battle with you owning their spleen usually gets you some kind of relief.

I also received one of these phone calls and my husband did as well. He is a little more gullible than I and gave out his info. Well, he gets deployed and this letter shows up at our house from this company saying we owe them money. Are you kidding me? It says it is with a bank that I never heard of and it states that we can settle for 129.00. I hope someone puts an end to this company! I am going to do all that I can to stop this insanity. My poor husband is deployed and can't do anything and is freaking out over this. West Asset Management does need to drop dead!

Yup- West Asset Management.

I'm gonna keep tallying up their phone calls and make arrangements for the lawsuit I'm filing.

ANY attempts to have them drop dead need to be done with a drop dead LETTER that specifies their company and the individual you spoke with.  Let the company know that ANYONE calling you will be considered harrassment and that legal action can/will be pursued.

West Asset Management - a collection company that calls at all hours of day or night.  They will keep harassing you, when you advise them to stop calling you per law, they simply give your phone number to another office member and start calling you again.  Claiming they never received notice from you... Or that (the person you just named) no longer works there and they were given this case load.  But they will keep calling you.  Also, never NEVER confirm your social security number to anyone via telephone.  Unless you are absolutely sure of who you are talking to.  (as in family member only!)

I received a call today too!  They wanted me to confirm who I was through my social security number.  Has any one else had any experience from this caller or does any one know who they are???
