Sorry-no IPad-just a scammer trying to make a fast buck from the death of Steve Jobs. They use SMS like this to trick you into giving them your money and personal details before they send you anything, then disappear and you never hear from them again. They use your details to steal your identity and use it in criminal transactions.
Beware replying to the SMS, because it could be linked to a URL that downloads malware to your smartphone enabling the scammer to steal your identity. It could also be an international number that charges premium rates, so you'll need to call your service provider to find out how to delete it safely, have them block 3rd party and premium calls/SMS, check your bill for fraudulent charges and get them reversed, put a fraud alert on your credit report and contact the bank to make sure no one tampered with your account.
Sorry about the scare tactics, but I want you to be safe! I read on whocallsme about someone this happened to, and don't want you to meet the same fate!
