Just got a call but they asked for my downstairs neighbor.  Some kind of phone book trolling?  Matching whatever name to an address (with no way to compensate for apartment numbers?)  No idea who they are though - I hung up.

Received call from this number and my Id says NRA ILA

It's the NRA (National Rifle Association)... Didn't listen to the whole recorded message that they left on voice mail but I am assuming they want money and/or support for something....

Got call from this #, they call and hang up, call them back and call didn't go through.

The way to handle this is to say, yes I am that person, would you like me to pay you for my late bill?

We get calls from these idiots at "Least" 2 to 3 times per day.  We've spoken to them & tried to explain that we've had the same number for over 3 years & that "No one by that name lives here!"  it does absolutely no good.  We just called them back & informed them that we will be filing a formal complaint against them since we can no longer tolerate this (Over a year now of waking us up on Saturday & Sunday mornings).

This company started calling my work?  The first couple of times a computer voice said..This is a very important call from Great West, please stay on the line.  The next time it repeated the same recording but gave me a name and said I had 3 choices, of course none of them were "You've got the wrong number", so I hung up.

I got a recording on my voicemail, "Hello, this is a call from West Assest Management. When you receive this message please call 888-517-7812".  I checked the number on my caller ID, but what my caller Id  showed was
703-398-0002. So same company going by two different numbers.  I don't plan on calling any numbers.  Just wanted to put the information out there for anyone receiving this annoying call on a Saturday.

Got a call from this company for my adult son who does not live with us. I was afraid it might be collections when all I could get out of them was "this is a legal matter."  I had the sense to ask her to remove my numer after giving them my son's cell.  Sadly, this is not news to us . . .

this company keeps calling about something i already discussed with them and will not leave me alone and if i dnt answer my husband will and they then ask him to get me in the shower, bathroom and even if im doing something very important even at work ...omg leave me alone please!!!! any one else going through the same thing this is so annoying i know they are doing their job but i got a job too i work in a hospital all day and when i go home a dept agency is the last thing i wanna deal with. I already whent through everything and made an agreement and they just wont stop...............

I have gotten calls from that number too, but now I have Google voice and send all my vm from my cell to google voice.  With Google voice, you can block numbers, and if they call and its blocked, they get the standard message that the number they have reached is disconnected or no longer in service....lol...I hope that stops them.

i have had several calls from this number, one time i called them back, but went to and automated system,Im already getting tired of this calls they are so annoying.

wow, I just got a call from these people and didn't answer the phone.  My number is new and unlisted.  They did not leave a message so maybe it wasn't for me.  Sounds like all of this needs investigated.  I don't understand why companies can do this and get away with it time and time again.  I mean really, why can't these peole be prosecuted?  Someone is in charge of this company and someone is paying the phone bill so why does this go on?

Guy with deep voice (like a gangster) asked for my wife by name. Said it was a personal matter, not a sales call. Time sensitive. Wouldnt tell me anything else.

I have gotten numerous calls from this number.  Spoke with someone once and they asked for a name I didn't recognize.  (I've had the same number for six years, so it wasn't just a previous owner of the number.)   Once I explained that, I was told that my number would be removed, but they keep calling and then hanging up.

they just called me a few minutes and asked for me and then hung up. I heard keyboard clicking and that was it.

they call all the time and its just a recording saying they are attempting to collect a debt and then it just hangs up

They were not rude or nosey, they just tried politely to settle a Sprint debt with me.  Spoke to a Belinda who was kind, but I'm sure if they get rubbed the wrong way they get nasty.  The company is West Asset Managemet...

These people call all day long and don't leave messages. When I do pick up they hang up. A**holes! They should be stopped! I don't even have any outstanding debts with any company!

always miss the call but they call first thing in the morning and late in the evening they always leave a recording their trying to collect a debt but they dont say he they want to speak too.

I keep receiving call from this number. When I answer they usually hang up without saying anything. I need for this to stop as this is not the first time this has happened. Got any suggestions as to how to make it stop?

This is a collections company.  We had a telephone number installed about nine months ago and the collections agency has been trying to collect from the previous user of the telephone number - and its the telephone company they're trying to collect for.  We've taken this to the Missouri Attorney General's office - Asset Management has been told several times that the person they're trying to collect from doesn't have this number and doesn't live at our address (never has).  The telphone company we got the phone number for (and who are trying to collect a charge-off via Assett management) insist that he's at our address - but the address is wrong.  What's even more aggravating is I work for the phone company in question and know for a fact the person listed in the disconnected/non-pay account isn't at our house.

Call received multiple times.  Caller identified the company as West Asset Management.  Refused to place my phone number on the do not call list and insisted that she speak with Laverne (who was no one that I knew).  She transferred me to supervisor to whom I explained that there was no one named Laverne here.  My number was supposedly removed, and this was reported to the FCC.

We have been calls for 4 months from this number, occasionally when we do get a live person on the phone, we say no one by that name is at the number and they hang up immediately....I'm beginning to wonder if we will have to disconnect our phone number to get them to stop !

This one doesn't seem to go away.  I finally listened to the message and it gave me 3 options, but no way to tell them I'm not the person (name was obviously inserted) they requested.

The call started with a recording, "Please hold." followed by a request for "Jerome". When I said it was the wrong number, she responded with "So it's not anyone you know, then?".

I'm thinking it's a collections company.
