I received a call from this number at exactly 9:00 AM on 09/21/2011.  It was a recording from the National Rifle Association to inform me that President Obama was going to order an invasion of the United States by United Nations troops to "take our guns".

call was from NRA with a recorded message, I listened,  then when I voted got a real person and he asked me if I listened to message, and I said:

YES, I VOTED NO, AND STOP CALLING ME.  Then I hung up.  If they call again, I am going to blow a loud whistle into the phone!

Really? "No possible way"?? I'm sure Ireland believed that NO WAY would ANYONE force an entire country to comply with abortion in a country that is so strongly against it....but the UN resolution calling for abortion was forced upon them as part of the UN - and their parliament agreed to it.

Currently, Sec. of State Clinton is indeed in negotiations with the UN for a resolution that would allow only law enforcement personnel and military to own personal firearms. This is being pushed by other UN countries.

Many of our politicians throughout the years have voted to remove the citizen right to own firearms. So, any intelligent person knows that it is possible that there are some politicians who would indeed take away our right to own firearms.

Be careful your political views don't haze your judgement - research before you go off on name-calling. Better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and confirm it.

Thank you Maggie, I've been getting calls from this number at all hours of the day.  I'm disabled I don't sleep like normal people for various reasons. Sleep comes at 2-3 hour intervals around the clock, so when I manage to get to sleep, it seems that number calls and I'm done with sleep for a while.  So to say this is annoying would be a serious understatement.

Getting NRA calls once a day usually in morning.  They keep changing the number so, this must be some robo generated number.  This not only breaking the do not call list, it is also breaking the law.  Harassing calls interstate is a crime.  This really should be reported to the Arlington Police.  As per the following:

Contact the Arlington, Virginia Police Department online and report that you have information pertaining to harassing calls from some group calling themselves NRA in the area code 703, telephone number 656-9940, 398-0795, 291-9005 and request that they be stopped from the illegal activity they are engaged in. You may need to file a report of the activity on your phone line, but it's worth it to get this kind of behavior stopped.

Call from NRA, no message left.  Would like to remove my name and phone number from their database so no further calls from them are received.

Received a call from this number today, I wasn't home, no message on answering machine. I just purchased a new phone from Panasonic that you can block up to 30 unwanted calls.....this one just made my list.....great feature, thank you Panasonic.

Robocall from National Rifle Association. Trying to generate fears that Obama and Democrats are gonna take away everyone's guns for good.  NRA told me that Obama is currently trying to pass an agreement with about 19 other countries that gun ownership be outlawed (for any purpose)... including for hunting or home protection purposes.   What a lie!  NRA --- quit calling me.  You are LYING and this is borderline harrassment.  Any intelligent person knows that there is ABSOLUTELY NO POSSIBLE WAY that any politician would take away our right to own firearms.  Guns will never be outlawed completely.

How convenient that they 'change' their name so that it is harder to file complaints with the FTC and states' AGs!  What a bunch of scum...if they were on the up and up, they wouldn't have to lie about who they were (a collection agency) and what they want (to collect money from you that you don't owe!).

I wouldn't wait on these knuckle draggers.  Let the FTC have an earful and complain with their complaint assistant at www.ftc.org, and don't waste any time contacting your local AGs.  

Portfolio Recovery Associates was successfully sued recently - check the FTC's web site and you'll find the skinny on this - for taking 'old debt' and 'rearranging, 'changing' data on long expired debt portfolios.  They're masters at 'forgetting' that there's a Chapter 7 discharge, or that the debt is 12 years old, not 2, or that the amount on the debt is 500, not 10000!  These people are something else...

They made it clear that they can keep calling me for another 30 days, though, because Federal law makes that ok.

I JUST GOT A CALL FROM 703-398-0795, PHONE RANG, I ANSWERED AND AFTER A LONG SILENCE , THEY HUNG UP!!!  CALL REFERRED TO AS NRA!!

Caller ID said NRA. Didn't pick up but then decided to call them back. Message said it's the National Rifle Association and if you want more info press "1", so I did. Gives a brief description of the NRA, but if you continue to listen, it will tell you how to be removed from their calling list.

Make a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.  Go to https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
and click on the complaint assistant on the right.  I do not think this is the NRA...it is a bogus company using fraudulent information!   Please complain & have them prosecuted!
