The bad news: Card Services calls aren't going to stop anytime soon.
The good news: You can retaliate, reduce the misery, and even have some fun.

RETALIATE:

Waste these turkeys' time. Keep them on the line by acting like an interested prospect. Give them bogus data, including a combination of two different credit card numbers, scrambled Social Security digits, and a ZIP Code that's slightly off. Note: providing a credit card company's real 800 number is key to prolonging the call.

After they call the credit card company, you can give them the same credit card info as before with two of the numbers transposed, thus causing them to make a second verification call. Or you can respond, "Guess what ... H-O-O-N-N-K-K [from a $6 air horn] you've been PRANKED! Call back tomorrow for more bullshot." Now they're the butt of your joke rather than you the victim of their harassment.

REDUCE THE MISERY

Landlines. Enroll for the free service at nomorobo.com. Simultaneous ringing, a feature you can enable with many providers, enables nomorobo to receive, answer and, after one ring, hang up on nuisance telephone numbers.

Cell phones. Block the number, an option that becomes available on the iPhone if you click on the "i" on the right in the list of recent calls and scroll to the bottom. Unfortunately, Card Services will keep calling from new spoofed numbers, which eventually should motivate you to retaliate.

The DNC list does work for what it is supposed to. What it doesn't do is stop the criminals from calling you to begin with.  The DNC keeps honest ones honest and the reports filed with them is a database for all agency's to use.  Its not just the DNC  the criminals violate, they also violate TCPA laws as well. Most folks have not even actually read the DNC and automatically think its supposed to stop all calls, it doesn't work that way.

I hate to be rude, but the dnc list does not work, these low life's are crooks and do not follow the law. They will continue to call until technology catches up with them.

She had a court date of January 21 (now March15), prosecutors have been sent additional data about her businesses, hopefully it will not go ignored. Based on the bond amount the charges looks pretty minor, which may indicate that authorities do not realize the scope of her business.

Just got a call and let it roll to VM.  No message left. Sounds like a spammer.

Get TrueCaller its a free app and screens the calls well...just hit block and it blocks all future calls from that number it even tells you how many users have reported it as spam

I keep getting a call to lower my credit card debt, and that there is currently no current problem with my accounts. I don't have any credit cards, and I want the calls to stop.

As soon as I add one of these criminal scum operations into my contacts, a new number pops up.  Of course I know that any weird area code I'm not familiar with is going to be one of these pieces of excrement.  I am sick of this.  Every morning at work, at the same time, I get one of these annoying a** calls.  If I weren't at work I'd try to have some "fun" with it....

I say "hello" twice and every time they hang up after the second "hello". I get multiple calls from multiple out of my state numbers.

Just received a call from "Greg Henderson" who must be the male version of Rachael for Card Services. Pressed 1, played along for a bit then, kept re-directing their efforts, till they finally hung up.  

If you can't beat them, waste their time, it is more fun that way.

They do seem to call Cell Phones, and the Cell Phone companies, do NOTHING to help their clients.

703 468 4703 spam callbot / for those of you with a smartphone get the free app Call Blocker ... since i got the app not a single spoofed / spam / real person / robo call has gotten through ... it stops them and tracks them ... also does a reverse directory inquiry ... no I'm not the author of the app .... just tired of the crap callers that don't get it DELIBERATLY !!!  ... enjoy your robocall free day and night  with even greater flexcibility by paying the 1.99 to get the full version .... i bought it after only one day of call  intercepts .... shot down 15 of em the day of and day before purchasing !!!!.... take that robocallers ... your defeated !!!!!!!!

These calls will never stop because the FCC does absolutely nothing about them. If you do report them to the FCC, nothing happens to your report! So you have two choices:
1. Do not answer any long distance call you do not recognize and if they do not leave a message, block the number.
2. If you do answer, talk to them in a extremely vile manner and they will hang up and maybe put your number on a "do not call list" because you are crazy and scared the hell out of them.

Very tired of receiving these calls.  I don't answer them because I know they are some sort of solicitor.  Cell phone numbers are non-published.  How is it that solicitors can get our phone numbers and ordinary citizens cannot.

If we all started taking the call and waited to talk to someone,  eventually it would start costing them more money than its worth.
  You can forget about using call block because they buy large amounts of phone numbers and the computer keeps changing it. Funny thing is,,, if you answer the call but don't make a sound, the computer will hang up automatically.  I'm hoping they keep track of numbers that don't work and eventually will remove my number.
  As for the do not call list, those people can suck my banana. Do you really think that in this day and age, they can't figure out who is calling? We were plagued by these people at my restaurant.  More than 6 calls per day.
