called me on 1/13/14 said there were allegations of fraud against me. who are these kooks?

Received a call on my cell and its a prerecorded message about how I visited one of their sites and I should be getting my rebate card. I'm sure this "rebate card" is nothing more than a gateway to viruses, identity theft, and stolen money

Scam phone--Calls my cell frequently--usually hangs up if he hears my voice--Do not answer if called--This number and the subscriber need to be taken down--previously reported as land line so provider needs to take action--

Same thing happened to me. It seems kind of odd.

Autodialer must be broken..  One ring and nothing.  I'm also on the DNC registry.

Just got a call like the one posted below.  Rang once and call was disconnected.  No time to pick up.

Thought it might have been important (I am originally from the Centerville area; 520 is the exchange for most of the landlines in the area.  Though I live out of state now.) So I called back and was answered by a man with a very heavy eastern accent, obviously not family or friends that live in the area.  Obviously a scam of some kind.

I got a call from this number on my 703-based cell phone,
even though I'm now living in a different State,
and didn't even get a chance to answer,
because they hung up after the first ring.
It's now in my phone address book's "bogus" list
(i.e., I name every telemarketing call or wrong number "Bogus ###",
and select "No ringer", so I won't be annoyed by it in the future;
after nearly a decade with this phone, I'm up to "Bogus 55"!
My phone company offers a free number block, online,
but, it isn't worth my time).

Per the previous comments,
don't go by any streets that an online phone search's map tells you.
Land lines change, often, these days,
as do business locations
(i.e., same number, different place).

Yes, that's what I saw too.

FreePhoneTrace says the call is coming from a land line in Braddock, VA.

Two rings, then hung up.  No message.  The number has an Alexandria/Annandale/Arlington exchange.

Same as many of the above.  One ring on my cellphone that I could not answer before the caller hung up.

Guy on the other end asked me for my weight. I said no. He then tried to sell me weight loss pills. I said no, I don't need them and hung up.

Was someone offering rebate card for site visited.  Don't go onto unknown sites.  As far as I am concerned just another scam.  WILL NOT ANSWER THIS CALL.  On Do Not Call Registry and am reporting to sources available.
