Proficio mortage seems to have a lot of complaints against it.
The VA doesn't make loans. Loans are made by private lenders with the VA guaranteeing part of the loan. The caller doesn't represent the VA, he's just shilling for loan sign-ups if you're a US veteran.

Called and said he was with the VA (verterans administration), and required by law to review my VA home loan. After a few minutes he started trying to get me to refinance my loan. I ask what was my VA case number (every VA loan closing statement has a number) and he could not tell me.

Called and said he was with the VA (veterans administration), branch 115 (said he's required by law to tell me that). But then he wanted to help me refinance my mortgage. I said no thanks. Very suspicious. The number doesn't show up as a VA number.
