They are calling from the Dominican Republic using a US phone number.   They will continue to do this and other scams forever.......

Well then don't buy illegal drugs online or over the phone.   I know it a scam, if you were not guilty you would have no reason to be scared.

I just got a call threatening to arrest me at an address that i lived in 15 years ago. Animals, how do they sleep at night.  very upsetting.

a man claiming to be a federal DEA agent, with a heavy accent, saying that US Marshalls were coming to arrest me & extradite me to the Dominican Republic unless I paid a fine over the phone.  He used the name of an actual agent, but I looked up the number & found that it is a prank.

The same guys called me, saying US Marshalls were 5 minutes from my house & that I would extradited to the Dom.Rep by Tuesdsay & spend 3 years in prison.  I kept him on the phone for more than 5 min, & nobody came to my house.  He claimed that if I agreed to pay a fine & process it right away, then he would call the DomRep to drop the charges against me & also notify the Marshalls not to arrest me, but I had to "promise" not to buy drugs from another country!!!!!  What???? All of this took less than a minute for him to do & suddenly he transfers to the payment dept.  Of course, I was looking up names & numbers online while talking.  The name he used is that of an actual DEA agent, which he could have easily found, just as I did; but the phone number was the one listed here & then I saw all these complaints.  It is scary that they have all this info about people & use these fake threats to extort $$$.  He clamied he confiscated a package with my name on it & that all the delivery companies & postal workers have already been arrested in connection with this alleged drug ring.  How can people do this?

I received 6 calls today. 703 584 5599  claiming to be a "special agent" heavy accent ..." hold on while I get the "oficer" on the line" . There are 2 federal warrants for your arrest. We will arrest you if you do not stay on the line. I kept hanging up.Those were the messages they kept leaving. I do not know what to do? Kept saying with the DEA

all this just happened to me

I received a call from this heavily accented person. He said they were going to arrest me. I knew it was fake because they have tried to do this to me before. My husband called them back. He tried to get them to talk, but they hung up on him. They are scared to talk when you "call" them on it! LOL

I called this number because I know it is a scam. They wanted me to leave a message. Seems like they would talk to you, if they are serious about catching these scammers.

I received a call from these people first a woman left a message on my answering machine, I then received a call from a man that I could hardly understand saying that they had a package that they had retrieved and  it had my information on it and that it had an illegal substance in it. I knew it was a scam for the start. I proceeded to tell them that if it was a scam that I would find out who they were and the man then told me that an officer would be here to arrest me and I said OK and he hung up on me.

A state of unrest

As of 2/11/13 this number is still being used by the DEA scam artists.  I called the DEA scam hotline and advised them of this.  Now I'm calling this number every 5 minutes just to mess with them.

We have received 6 calls from this number.  We have notified our local FBI off and District Attorney.  They reassure us that it is a scam and eventually they will be caught.  In the meantime, we are supposed to ignore the calls by not answering or hanging up after they identify themselves.

I have received several threatening calls from the 703 number shown above, as well as several new ones today from 202-241-4608, all of them claiming to be from a Special Agent of the DEA.  Today the calls were from someone calling himself John Lewis, badge #77416, District #97 based in Washington, DC, who threatened that his agents were waiting outside to arrest me.  Did not try to extort money, because I kept hanging up on him and never gave him the chance, but it was very frightening anyway.

I received a phone call this morning at 9:30.  He said he was a DEA agent and was very pushy again.
Same people have called me four other times with different numbers. I keep blocking the numbers and
they just keep getting new numbers. I just hang up and block the number. This is very annoying because they are calling my business. They should be caught and arrested.

I called the DEA after getting this same call.  The local DEA Agent told me to call 877-792-2873 with the information as these scam artist change their phone number every couple of days so call ASAP if you can help them.

Received a call from this number claiming to be a DEA Agent,  when I did research while on the phone, I told the guy that he was a scam and he told me that he had my address and would KILL my whole family.  THis is insanity.  I reported the situation to the scam lines however that is all I could do.  These people do have my family address and my name,  what else do they have?  It is very scary and I feel that majority of this is not being foreseen to justice.  what else can I do???

They just called for me at work and left message with my boss! Not cool. Same Anthony same number-same  message. When I started asking him questions (blocked my phone number) he hung up on me.

The criminals call the victims (who in most cases previously purchased drugs over the lnternet or by telephone) and identify themselves as DEA agents or law enforcement officials from other agencies.  The impersonators inform their victims that purchasing drugs over the lnternet or by telephone is illegal, and that enforcement action will be taken against them unless they pay a fine.  In most cases, the impersonators instruct their victims to pay the "fine" via wire transfer to a designated location, usually overseas.  If victims refuse to send money, the impersonators often threaten to arrest them or search their property.  Some victims who purchased their drugs using a credit card also reported fraudulent use of their credit cards.

Impersonating a federal agent is a violation of federal law.  The public should be aware that no DEA agent will ever contact members of the public by telephone to demand money or any other form of payment.

I got a call from this number telling me they were going to arrest me and come to my door today but they wanted to talk to me first!! Really I just hung up!!

Got a threatening call -- claiming there is a Federal Warrant for my arrest. Said the Marshalls are coming ot put me in jail after a four year investigation......  I said I was going to direct them to my attorney, he said the attorney has to have a Federal Law License ?
