Caller Id shows "Morten Beyer," which is a name they pirated from another business.  They use an ever changing list of phony telephone numbers and offer an ever changing menu of scams, including carpet cleaning.  You don't want to let these people in your home to estimate anything, as they are really just casing to see what valuables you have for a robbery.  A pox on them.  More calls grouped into the totality of nuisance, fraud, scam calls, etc..

Unfortunately, as this is a major election year for Congress, local dog catchers, sheriffs, etc., we can expect an increasing number of these types of fraudulent calls to annoy us and try to steal our money and identities.  It is also an opportunity to vote out of office all of the firebreathers, tea partyers and other wackos who shut down the Government last year for 16 days, who still oppose Obamacare (despite the fact that millions of their constituents have been able to sign up for affordable health care), and who are shameless liars and embarrass the U.S. with their dumb behavior.  Do not donate anything over the phone to anyone, period; an open invitation to fraud and the countless bandits who will simply pocket your "donations."  IF YOU ARE IN A POSITION OF RESPONSIBILITY OR ARE AN ELECTED OFFICIAL, BE PART OF THE SOLUTION, NOT PART OF THE PROBLEM, AND CULTURE TEAMWORK AT ALL TIMES!

It is assumed that all improperly or incompletely identified numbers are from the increasing number of scams, frauds, tie-lines, etc. This is why everyone must contact their elected reps in DC to demand that they significantly strengthen the DNC laws, providing extremely severe dollar and prison sentences for violators, and give more strength to the FTC.  This is an opportunity for Congress to actually do something useful for the country, not just pass gas and throw spitballs at each other.  Any business must be properly identified with their legal name on Caller Id, not hide behind Not Available, Private, Unavailable, etc.  It is time to ban any kind of solicitation call, whether telemarketer, charitable, political, survey, opinion poll or whatever, plus outlaw any use of tie lines, robo-callers, VoIP,  or use of numbers not issued by a legitimate, FCC licensed common carrier (telephone company).  You can be assured that funds donated or authorized over the phone will mostly go into the pockets of the organizers, not to the charity or political campaign, or intended purpose, along with a $10 donation showing up as $100s in charges.  Never give a credit card number or any personal data to anyone over the phone. There must be a new scam and fraud being generated every second out there.  We need call control, not gun control!

No, they are still around.  I got a call from them that and inadvertently answered because I thought I recognized the number.  So I listened to the recorded spiel, left a bogus address and asked them to come on out and give me an estimate.  A week later I got another call from a cell phone--"Eric," on 571-501-1925--responding to the message I left for them.

I am sick and tired of these unwanted solicitations and have more important things to do than put up with this harassment.  

I get as annoyed by telemarketing calls as the next person, but let me get this straight. You're suggesting people waste the time of someone who is trying to sell a product or service, which, by the way, boosts the economy, in order to make a living. Do you suppose most telemarketers choose that as their first option for a job? Calling people and bothering them and getting hung-up on call after call? Perhaps that person didn't find a lot of choices out there. Lot's of people out of work in case you haven't heard. These folks aren't asking you to pay them while they sit around and do nothing, their working. Ever try doing what they're doing to make a living? Me either and I hope I never have to. But you are suggesting we waste their time with pretend phone sex rather than simply saying "no thank you" so they can get on with their jobs and call the next person and get hung up on. And, also by the way, if you thought about it for 2 seconds you might consider that these folks usually only get paid when they make a sale or an appointment. Maybe you need to find something better to do with YOUR time!

Yep, same number this afternoon, Northern Virginia Carpet Cleaners.  Website is hosed, no one answers the phone if you call back, spoofed CID using the name of a guy who died four years ago and had nothing to do with cleaning services.  Physical address of the "business" is supposedly in a Chantilly office park just off 50, one that appears to be primarily medical and professional offices, not the typical light-industrial you'd expect a maintenance service to set up.

Sounds like the whole thing is bogus.  WHOIS says the domain nvcarpetcleaners.com was only set up two years ago and updated as recently as last month.  Anyone know where we can look up Virginia business licenses online?  Complaining to FTC only goes so far... the real trick will be getting these a***oles' phone service jerked.  Good luck getting Verizon to cooperate on that even though robocalling to ANY number has been illegal (and thus a violation of their customer tariffs) for years.

Site is already shitcanned, but a Google cache of it shows they had an address in an office park (primarily medical offices) in Chantilly, VA just off Route 50. Likely now out of business, and either the principals or an employee are robocalling people to see if anybody bites.  Or, they paid for a robocall service and it's carrying on like the Sorcerer's Apprentice.  WHOIS reports their site was hosted by Web.com on a server in Minnesota, but looks like it's screwed up or they've been locked out of it, probably for abuse.

Why would you even say that? Your gross. I hate telemarketers to but there is no way that I would degrade myself that way. I really don't understand 800notes commenters that well. You can use a google account to get a google voice number. Then you can go to whoever your provider is and have the number forwarded to your google voice number. Once that is done it's all downhill for the telemarketers in a peaceful way. You can do a lot of things there. You can create specific contact lists if you want. You can also block any number. I always look it up first to make sure that it is a telemarketer before blocking. Sometimes there are bugs with google voice so it may not be for you. For the most part it works. Try it out. Stop letting these telemarketers own your day.

Came in on my published line this morning.  Caller ID said "Morten Beyer," which means it was spoofed.  It was a prerecorded pitch about getting my air ducts cleaned.

Nuisance call to number registered on Government Do Not Call list and unlisted in phone directory.  Please stop.  Call not welcome to home of physically disabled.

Instead of carping on this site, we should all be posting information we can all use like who called and subject of the call. The end result should be that we all file lawsuits. Here is the basis for lawsuits:

47 U.S. CODE § 227 - Telephone Consumer Protection Act provides that a person or entity may, if otherwise permitted by the laws or rules of court of a State, bring in an appropriate court of that State
A.    an action based on a violation of this subsection?
B.    an action to recover for actual monetary loss from such a violation, or to receive $500 in damages for each such violation ?
C.    both such actions

AND

Federal Communications Commission DECLARATORY RULING Adopted: April 17, 2013, Released: May 9, 2013, provides that ?while a seller does not generally ?initiate? calls made through a third-party telemarketer within the meaning of the TCPA, it nonetheless may be held vicariously liable under federal common law principles of agency for violations of either section 227(b) or section 227(c) that are committed by third-party telemarketers.? (?Seller? is a beneficiary of the telemarketing call)

BOTTOM LINE - you don't need to know who called; just go after the "seller" (beneficiary of the call or the sale) and let them settle the score with their telemarketer!

I got calls in mid-January from "Beyer Morten, 703-634-4563" offering "Air Duct Cleaning Service." Tonight, February 25th, same caller ID offering duct cleaning from "Rotobrush International." The theme is the same and the number is the same as posted on the Northern Virginia Cleaners website at http://www.nvcarpetcleaners.com.

Interesting to me... They called my secure line which nobody should have access to that line or that number.

I received a telemarketing call from this number, and the name "Morton Beyer" showed up in my Caller ID. But, even weirder, the name "Morton Beyer" showed up in my web browser's autofill feature last week! I spent an hour changing as many privacy settings as I could find.

Called me on 2/13 on cell phone....again.  Did not answer; left no message.

This number called my cellphone and did not leave any message, I did not answered it.
It is listed in Triangle, VA.

Received call in the morning. I didn't pick up and they did not leave a message. I am on the do not call list.

Called me, and asked for my name and SS #. They said I won a free carpet cleaning.

This number called my cell, I am on the do not call registry.  UGH!!!

Received call at 12:40 left no message.

Beyer Morten.  Do not know him, did not pick up phone.  This is the first call I've received from this person at this number.

Since these carpet cleaning robocalls Saturday and today (though my house has wood floors) were the first other than from a questionable real estate developer (who claimed to have bought the house next door, that an elderly neighbor turns out to have sold for 2/3 of assessed value to enter assisted living)  that I've received since posting about 305-368-8132 more than 3 weeks ago, I wonder if this too is associated with some real estate related scam. Of course fraudsters wouldn't care that cold telemarketing calls to a cellphone are illegal, especially when it's on the do not call list.
