They are an outside group hired by your alma matter that wants you to join the alumni association.  In my case the University of Kentucky.  They are not a scam but the constant calling is annoying nonetheless.

If you dial 703-637-9245 from the phone number they called you at and listen to the automated recording and press 1 your number will be placed on their DO NOT CALL LIST. :-)  It worked perfectly....

Have been getting calls from 703-637-9245 more than twice a day for awhile and got fed up cuz of no messages and I tried to call....BLOCKED!  Gee!  So annoying cuz I listed my cell phone as unlisted about a year ago but why now?!?  

This must be where my number came from as well - I too donated to the Tree House.  Time to just block the number, I guess.  I hope MBCF wasn't the group that gave out my number, though.

Got a call in the afternoon from this number, ID says "Out Of Area" and identifies the number calling as 703-637-9245.  I answered the phone and they hung up immediately.  I called them back and it was picked up by a fax machine signal.

Fundraiser/telemarketer for Mary Bridge Children's Hospital/Tree House Foundation here in Tacoma WA. Two calls in less than a week. I answered the first time but ignored the second. The gal was a little overly assertive. I told her I give directly and will continue to do so. (A friend and his wife stayed at the Tree House while their preemie baby was hospitalized.) Telling them to take you off the list is worthless.

Scam, alumni seeking money, I see the person above said Penn state, so they must be using the web to find out what college you went too.  They knew my college in Cailfornia, I said remove me, they still calling.  Nothing but a scam.

I sent email to membership email contact with my alumni association requesting that this phone number never call me again.
Advised them if they continued to call, I would file complaint with FCC because they had been advised to stop.  I sent email at 10:25 this morning, got a response at 10:31 that they were removing my number from the list.  AND BEST OF ALL, I GOT NO FREAKING CALL TODAY!!!!

I sent an email to the membership email of my alumni association. In the email I gave them the number that has been calling me daily and indicated that non-profit or not, they were to remove my number from that list and NEVER call it again.

Been calling my cell phone almost daily and sometimes twice a day, including evenings and weekends. Leaves no message, probably because it's an automated caller. Will not answer knowing that it's not a legit business thanks to this website.

Says they are FSU alumni. Not from Virginia

No answer, no message.  Calling again and again and again.  Who does this stuff?

Stated they're calling on behalf of Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and became rude when questioned.

They keep calling but leave no voice mail. I called the number back, the outgoing message identifies them as Direct Line Technologies, and instructs you how to add your number to their Do Not Call List. They are a fund raising firm for Colleges, universities and health organizations.

Answer the phone, but no one ever says anything.

This company is hired by universities for fund raising.  I dialed back the number and a polite recording explained and gave instructions to press "1" to be put on the do not call list.  Easy enough.

These people keep calling and calling and calling.  I NEVER answer the phone.   I just figured out how to put this number on call block with my telephone provider.  Hope this stops them.  

This is a SCAM!  My alumni is in Kentucky not Virginia and when they call they also know how to leave a message.  These crooks call, have you listening to dead air and then hang up.  

What's really funny is how they always call right after we get a call for Medical Alert Devices, which is another scam!

Southwest Indians Relief Fund is part of Indian Relief Fund. Their phone number is 903 870-9633. I know American Indians got the short straw, but most of the Indian charities are very low rated because they put half or more of the donations on fundraising schemes. Charitywatch.org is the best source for their worth, but most reviews aren't free.

Yes, got a call from them and I know they are asking for Alumni Donations for the University of Mississippi. Its a corporation that universities can hire to collect donations. I told them I wasn't available the first time and I wouldn't be available another time. They didn't get the hint.

I get calls from them almost daily. Most likely, they are calling for UCLA Alumni Assoc. I've talked with them a few times when my kids answer the phone.

I tried to call them to get on the Do Not Call list, but that option is no longer available. Just says that the party I'm trying to reach is not available...

I have nothing to do with UC Davis or any kind of alumni. I believe this a scam.
