They call my house and my cell phone several times a day (they got my cell phone number from my answering machine) I talked to them today and it was a female with a very strong accent that wanted me to enroll in some payment plan, something about sending them postdated checks and I had to enroll over the phone? I asked 3 times for something by postal mail before agreeing to anything, I asked where they were calling from and they told me Manila in the Philippines.

They called my husband's cell phone 12 times today and when he picks up, there is no one there either.

I get approximately 10-12 calls a day from this company. Usually the person on the other end just hangs up when I say hello. I have been told by several operators that cursing is not allowed. I have told them that if they call my ----- house on the telephone line that I pay for, that I will talk to them the way I please. This has gone on for three months now, seven days a week. I tell them it is pointless to call. They call, I curse them out, they hang up. I think now it is just harassment.

don't know who ERMI is however they call 10 to 15 times a day, 7 days a week.e caller id says 7036569960. I suggest a class action lawsuit since these folks don't care about the law. I have been on the federal no call list since Jan '08,
and thses folks continue to call anyway. I' fed up.

ERMI- different # but same annoying person looking for family member I told them they do not live here. I gave them their # THEY WILL NOT STOP even called on Fathers Day. I told them his Father has MS. Will now call my lawyer.

They call my house at least 4 times a day. They start around 8:15am or earlier. They actually wake me up every morning and keep calling. Hangs up on me when I tell them to put me on do not call list. I hate this company. I filed a complaint with the fcc. I want to do even more. They say there name is encore but the caller Id says ERMI

I have been getting calls from them for 4 days.  I answer the phone and no-one is there.

Finally a person came on the phone and asked for my ex-wife by her maiden name, which she took back after we were divorced.  She was never listed at this phone number so they must be doing old address look ups and calling the current phone number at that address.  This same company was calling for her at my mother's address and the last time she resided at that address was over 17 years ago.  
They called her for 2 months and they refused to stop calling her until she told them where they could find my ex.

This rep wanted the same information from me and I told him that I had their address and phone numbers and would file suit against them  for harrasmant and they hung up.

This must be some kind of violation of privacy acts somehow

Calls aren't for me, but a roommate that is never here.  I called them back this morning and gave them a piece of my mind!  They apoloized... then the calls started back in less than 2 hours.  I plan to continue to give them a piece of my mind when they call and then return the phone call after they hang up and tell them how RUDE the person was tht called.  I will demand to speak to a supervisor.  When they get tired of MY calls.  Maybe they will quit calling!  What's good for the goose is good for the gander!!

These calls have been coming to me constantly as well. I have spoken to a live person before who seemed not to listen to me at all. I hung on after feeling very frustrated. I felt like reporting them to the BBB.

Answered Phone, No one there, didn't hear a recording, it hung up after 30 seconds.

I spoke with someone who said he is the supervisor. His name is Ian Florida he told me he would put me on the do not call list. I asked him who is his supervisor over top of him there and he said he oversees the whole thing. I stop getting calls after speaking with him for 2 or 3 days then they started calling again. I am going to fax them with a letter i am trying to wait 30 days before i take further action. Maybe the calls will stop then.

I keep getting calls from this number with similar frequency. They have no business calling us.

This number calls my phone all day and all night. When I answer no one is on the other end, just dead silence. When I call the number back, the representatives state that the company name is "Encore" but they won't give any further information on what kind of establishment they are,(Collection Agency, etc.) In fact whenever I pressed for more info on their company, the representatives refused to answer, and just hung up the phone on me.

They are debt collectors for GE MoneyBank and/or Empire Carpet.

i too am being harrassed daily by this number.  i'm told to hold for next available operator.

It's Capital One.One of their many disguises!! It's actually one of their henchman collection agencies.I am unemployed,my husband is unemployed and we are 3months behind on our mortgage,and we are on foodstamps!! Yes I owe Capitol One.But what do you think I'm going to pay first-mortgage to keep a roof over my family's head or Capitol One?? They are ruthless sharks.How were people to know the economy was going to be this horrible??

When I picked up the phone, a recorded voice said that I should hold for an important message, that no associates were available at the moment! What nerve!!! Caller ID says that it is from NCO Financial Service. I didn't stay on the phone but it they couldn't have been calling for me.

he's the CEO of that crappy GE Money Bank -from now on, for every call they make to me, he is getting one of his own. let's do what they do - just keep hanging up every time his home machine picks up. we should let him know how invasive and violating of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act this is. and it's legal for us to return calls - he needs to be responsible for his rude employees and illegal tactics.

For over a month now we've been woken up from our sleep at 8am by ERMI looking for a "Mary Smith".  We've repeatedly told them there was no Mary Smith at this nimber and we know no Mary Smoth.  We've twice spoken to a manager "Camille", asking for these calls to stop.  Camille said that ERMI has no ability to stop the calls because they receive this information from outside sources.  Camiulle was very uncooperative, refusing to provide the source or purpose of their information.  When I asked for contact information to their corporate legal or complaint area, she refused and told me to look it up online.  The online web site for ERMI has no such link other than a general toll free number that nobody answers.  I informed Camille that I would be filing a formal complaint with the FTC and FCC for harrassment...

This number belongs to ERMI, a collection agency that collects for GE money.

After doing some research and making some phone calls to people (who shall remain nameless). They are certainly a debt collection company and as per the Fair Credit Reporting Act by law they have to inform you that their call is to collect a debt. If they do call just pick up the phone and get them to talk to you and try to resolve the issue, even if it's not about you. Then ask them outright if they are a debt collection company and if they refuse to answer then remind them that under the Fair Credit Reporting Act if they are a debt collection company then they must by law tell you.

This company has been calling me numerous times everyday.  They always ask for a woman who does not live at my house and they even have a different address than I live at.  When I ask them what it is in reference to they hang up.  I try to call the number back and they actually pick up the phone and then hang up.  The same person will even call numerous times even though I tell them that the person does not live here.  I have no debt whatsoever.  There must be some way to force them to stop harassing me.
