I got a text from 703-662-3324.  It said, 'My name is alicia mike I'm a deaf.  A wallet was found and if you can name whats inside the wallet...."  Sounds familiar doesn't it.
I also had placed a 'lost wallet' add on craigslist.
These people are apparently scumbags who prey on vulnerability

We all need to take this very seriously and not lay down without a fight , they really did a number on my life and I never want to see anyone go through what I have been going through over something so stupid..I seriously think it is time that the national media needs to take this more seriously and get the word out so no one else has to go through this

This whole situation has destroyed my life in a matter of days, I am seriously going to end up being homeless over this by the end of the week, and no one can help me. I tried calling the number a bunch of times and it was google voice, I have tried to inform google and they don't seem to give a s*** that good hardworking people are getting ripped off and they are enabling them to do so

Same call... I answered with vague answers of contents and considering I had my wallet stolen in Denver, Co and my address was from South Carolina... I felt that was enough info... they wanted more.  I asked why did they have a phone if they were deaf.... and then gave them a piece of my mind as well as called the investigator on my case.... turn them in.    I plan to find the user of this number!

Same thing as others texted that found lost wallet just text information and would return. Claims to be deaf.

fell for it as well - thought it was coming from a neighbouring area code but didn't see it was 703 which is outside of Canada. Gave them information before trying to google the number.

This is a SCAM...My person said F*** U when I started asking too many questions and called the number back.  Claudia said she found my dog...I posted on Craigslist about a found dog!!!

same scam lost wallet on craigslist.said she was deaf and wanted all my info.i said lets meet to exchange wallet for reward.never answered back.I hate people like this! Please dont give them any personal info.

I got this reply to my craiglist lost & found ad:

"Hello,My name is Bianca I'm a deaf.A Purse was found and If you can name whats inside the Purse and where you lost it and described the wallet to me.also provide correct information with your full name and address matching on ID including your email address and I will be more than happy to return it you can text me on my # (703) 662-3324.Thank you Bianca"

I stupidly answered the email & gave her my contact info. I'm so angry at myself for not googling the number she/he/it left.  

My son lost his wallet,  I did give her standard personal info that she asked for and my email.  Any idea what they are using this info for?  I knew the dhl info was fake and confirmed that with dhl. Bianca said she dropped out at a dhl office which was my first clue,  no one uses dhl around here. I am interested to see what they ask for.

Lost my wallet too and posted an ad on Craigslist. She responded to it saying her name was Bianca and she had it and wanted personal information. I wouldn't give her it unless she sent me a picture of the wallet and of course she couldn't. She is really pushy about wanting an email address. Don't give anything to this scammer. It's ridiculous to scam people who have just lost something important to them.

Worried about the purpose of this scam, glad I found this website, I posted a craigslist about a lost wallet and received a text from a false name claiming to have found my wallet (not true) and asking for personal details.

CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE SCAM IS?  MY SON ALSO POSTED ABOUT HIS MISSING DOG AND RECIEVED THIS SAME EXACT TEXT.  HAVENT FIGURED OUT WHAT THE SCAM IS YET.

SCAM DO NOT REPLY!  I have a lost dog posted on craigslist and received a text from a Tim.
Congratulations your dog was found also have your dog code for the confirmation to look your dog through your phone & once you receive a call from CL pick the call and tell them the code number about your dog okay regards Tim........ I have 2 ads on Craigslist for 2 different dogs and owners helping to find their dogs and got this text twice in a row.  They're preying on the owners sympathy.

This IS A SCAM, I also posted an ad for a lost iphone, got a text from "Monica" a few days later claiming she would send it through dhl, then got an obviously fake email from "dhl", did more research, DO NOT reply to them. Huge scam.

On 2/3/2013 I got the following text message from 703-662-3324:

"(1/2) Hello,My name is monicai'm a deaf A Purse was found and If you can name whats UInside the Purse and where you lost it and described the wallet to me.U also provide correct information with your full name and address matching the UID it willl be returned,My name is Monica"

(That's exactly how it was typed.)

This must have been in response to a Craigslist lost & found ad I had posted a week earlier. Do NOT reply to this number. It would be a good idea to report it to the police. This is obviously a scam.

Recieved a text from monica claiming she was deff and wanting information to return the purse. I posted add on craigslist lost and found on sunday and text came in on Sunday. Scam

Received a test message from Monica saying she found my wallet and if I could give out personal details she would send the wallet to me through DHL.I had lost my wallet on the 7th and posted an ad on craigslist lost and found.
Contacted my bank, DHL and the police.
