Never answer ANY calls if you dont know the caller

I got yet another call from this company, and the lady who called was rude and then hung up when I said my husband wasn't home.  We have never used their services, and therefore they have no reason to be calling unsolicited.  We've been registered on Do Not Call for several years, so well past the 31-day window.  We have submitted a complaint to the Do Not Call Registry.

As soon as they started their sales pitch, I said I wasn't interested and hung up on them.

This is a ?cold call? from Trans National Construction for storm windows, roofing, or siding work.

The best thing to do is what HM recommended - file a complaint. The enforcement may move slowly, but once it gets going they'll be slapped with a major fine.

It's OK to complain here, but if you don't go to the site https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and file a complaint, then you won't get any progress against these idiots.

Ireceived a call from a yoiung man who identified himself as representing Transunion builders.  I just reported the caller to FTC.gov.  I have received calls from Transunion before, and never have been a customer.  My home phone number is on the do not call list.

They called us.  We are on the do not call list.  I went to www.donotcall.gov and put in a complaint.  Companies get charged $5000 per call they make to people who are on the list.  A few complaints will make them follow the list.  Saying they called by accident is garbage.  There are too many people being called.  They are betting that no one will turn them in.  TURN THEM IN!!!!

Caller ID flagged this number, reported to the FTC, call is blocked, love how they just waste their money and time.  Perhaps they should try a real job.

Having your service provide block a specific number is not simple. Usually, you must pay for some added service and set it up with the number (s).  Or, you have to start a legal process, involving the police, if the calls are harassing.  It's a bit naive, unfortunately, to think that the phone company would rather be helpful to their subscriber than to collect large fees from the rude companies also using the provider to make all the calls to us. And, most folks no longer use land lines so there's no great outcry for anyone to change this. Folks often use only smartphones which have easier ways to block numbers.

I have some suggestions-I hope they help:

If the person is calling your landline, call your service provider and ask if the call can be blocked.

If they are calling your smartphone, look in your app store for free call and text blockers. If you live in the US and have an Android phone, the Mr. Number app works great and along with calls and texts, also blocks numbers that have spam complaints against them.

This number has been ask previously fromt he National Do Not Call Registry not to call this number.  It stopped for a while, now it has started again.  I am elderly and disabled/in wheelchair, and I do not want or needf these calls.  I need it stopped immediately.  I do not know these people and/or company and I tried calling them back to have it stopped, and it rings and rings.

I always tell them, If I need whatever you are selling, I'll call you. I don't need you to call me.

I received a call from this number.  Guy wanted to give me an estimate on exterior work around my home.  I blew a loud whistle into the phone and hung-up.  :)

I DO NOT ACCEPT SOLICITATION VIA OF PHONE. IF I AM INTERESTED IN A COMPANY FOR SERVICES I WILL CONTACT THEM ON MY OWN. STOP CALLING ME. ALSO I KNOW CAPS MEAN YELLING GET THE POINT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*** WARNING***  These people are crooks. They stole my elderly mothers money saying that they can build her a deck. After calling and calling and calling my mother to sell her home improvements, she was persuaded to set up an appointment. A verry aggressive and arragont "Used Car" type salesman came to her home and wouldn't leave until she signed a contract. After getting a deposit of $11,000 to start the project, It  took 9 weeks for someone to finally return our calls. The owner, Kim, verbally assualted me over the phone when i requested to cancel the contract. He called me a "nobody" because my name was not on the contract. I was just trying to ensure that my elderly mother was not getting ripped off. After doing some research on Transnational Corp. i found that they prey on the elderly and the unknowledgeable home improvement consumer. They subcontract everything they do and may even use undocumented illegal aliens on their jobs.

By the way, they don't seem to answer the -5306 number, so calling that number to complain doesn't seem to do much good. Their website lists their incoming number as 703-778-5300
