Go this call on Fri. the 24th of August @ 1439.  I did some Phishing of my own, Bill is paid by Sykes Telemarketing Co. Inc.  They said they were Wells Fargo, Whole Overdraft thing, I played the game, since I DO NOT have a Wells Fargo Acct., nor have I since about 1995.  I changed to BOA.  I gave them a card #, exp., But, NO CODE, Nobody would.  They said "We understand.  Name, address, etc. on card "All crap".  I reported to WF, and then DOC, Dept. of Commerce, being told they had jusrisdiction, and they have been getting away with this for a couple of years it looks like.

recieved a call from this number....  several times, not a collection company, as I don't owe anything but my home mortgage. Anyways,  She claimed to be an outsourced company for Well Fargo and needed to sign me up for overdraft protection and wanted me to verify my account number, atm number and security code on the back of my atm, since I have never had a WF rep ask that info, I informed her I would call her back, when I called the number, It is an outsourcing company, so I called WF, the rep told me they don't EVER outsource their customer service or services offered, and that they would never call to verify the information on my card, as they already have it, they ask me to verify it when I call in to prove I am who I say I am, not vice versa...  DON'T ever give your banking info to these people, the WF rep told me it is a scam....

i just recied the call and called back the same number and it was a cell phone voicemail, no messages, must be  a scam.

I recieved a call from this number they portrayed themselves as a local veterniary service reminding me that I had an appointment for my dog which has been deceased since 07'.  Called said he just wanted to remind of the appointment.  My gutt tells me they are trying to verify information with your name to sell to people who are collectors.

2 calss from this number yesterday. 1 to my cell and one to my office.

I have been getting calls from these people, "Sykes - your global leader in providing customer contact management solutions"(..?!), for almost 4 weeks.
I don't know how they got my number because I'm very picky about giving it out and because I have signed up on all of the "do not call" registries.
I opted out of receiving calls from them 3 times now, their automated message says it will take up to 72 hours for this to take place. That was October 14 and now its November 8th. To add more of a pain, they're now calling at 8 o clock at nite!

Whoever these people are, I hate them.

People are getting calls from this Unknown number and they are being charged to there cellphone bill do not answer!!

sikes? communications..... no idea.

it's ICT Group an outsourcing company that other companies use to mass call customers to either inform them of changes to certain accounts or to sell more products from a particular company.  Lately Wellf Fargo and other banks are using these kinds of companies to inform customers of the new rule about overdraft protection.  In some cases they are supposedly asking for personal banking info which according to the banks is NOT part of what they are using ICT Group for.  Hang up and inform your bank immediately if that happens otherwise you can ask to have your number removed from the call list.

it's a land line coming out Leesburg, Virginia... a small town with a population of 28311. The phone company that services that phone # is PAETEC COMMUNICATIONS, INC. That's all I was able to get.

Would like to know who is calling me from the above telephone number.

They called my cell phone today while I was at work.  They didn't leave a message, and I don't think I'll be calling back.  Caller ID says they're out of Leesburg, VA and I don't know anybody or do business with anybody out there.  It's making me paranoid now that I've read all these other messages about it!

Received a call from this number and the Caller ID said 'Sykes' - and I know some people with this name so I answered.  The gentleman said he was with Wachovia and they had implemented some changes that might cause my credit card to be declined and wanted to know if I would like to do something (can't remember what he said because I cut him off and said I wasn't interested).  The funny thing is that I've been having some issues with my credit card, although it's not been Wachovia's fault - it was the other company's problem.  I called Wachovia and of course this call wasn't from them.  I reported it to the FTC.

I'm on a roll reporting unwanted calls that I am being tormented with which includes this number.  Caller ID says Sykes.  Don't know them and will not answer.

Got a call. Answered and they hung up.

Just happened to me, overdraft stuff protection call.

I just received a call from this number and did not answer; they also did not leave a message. After reading other posts, I am glad I did not answer and will not knowing now what others have posted.

The man on the phone said that he was calling on behalf of Wells Fargo for a new overdraft program. He did not ask for any of my bank account information but simply explained the overdraft system and asked if I wanted to enroll. Currently, Wells Fargo had to change their system so debit cards are denied if there are not sufficient funds. If you enroll into system the person is calling about, you will be allowed to overdraft, which, of course, means you'll be hit with overdraft fees. I told the man I was not interested in enrolling in the program, and the call ended. I received a letter from Wells Fargo about a week after the call confirming that I had chosen not to enroll in the new overdraft system. Once again, the man did not ask for any of my personal or account information. He just asked if he could talk about the Wells Fargo program.

Same thing just happened to me.... I know not to give ANY info to ANYONE over the phone.

They were calling on behalf of Wells Fargo to talk about the new overdraft rules.  I told the lady that I was not comfortable talking about my banking information over the phone and she politely told me that I can talk to a banker in a branch or online.  She told me to ask about "Regulation E".  

Seems pretty legit - there was no pushing for me to release any information whatsoever once I said I'd prefer to speak in person.

Like some of the above, got a phone call from this number, which I answered.  It was someone calling "on behalf of Wells Fargo," to notify me of a policy change, where they didn't have my preferences on file for what to do if there was an overdraft on my ATM or debit card.  I listened for a minute, and it seemed she was giving me an opportunity to make a choice.  I told her I'd make my choices online, hung up, and called Wells.  They apparently did make a choice, but said they wouldn't outsource calling all of their customers to inform them.  I guess she did get information from me--namely, that I am a Wells customer, and I use the web site.  So the social hacking did get something from me.

Got a call from this #. didn't answer, called them back and the automated message indicates they are Sikes or Sykes (not sure on spelling), a marketing company.  Can be removed from call list by listening to message and then choosing option 1 when the menu is listed.

This phone number just called and would not leave a message-I have read the posts and will not answer them if they call back.

Got this stupid call yesterday.  I told the guy I had just went to the bank, which I did for something else.
So No thanks.  I knew it was fraud and I hope reporting it here does help.

Rec'd a call on my cell phone @ 3:50 p.m. Didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number. If it's legit, they'll leave a message.

I've received two calls from 7038401408. No name appeared on caller id, I do not pick up when there is only a number shown on caller id that i dont recognize. No message was left on voice mail either. If it's that important to me they can call back with a name, etc.

I got a call from 703-840-1408 but didn't answer it. A minute later I got a call from 215-809-2157 and did answer it. Guess what? The 215 call was from someone saying they were with Wells Fargo and wanted to set up my debit card for overdraft protection, which I had no intention of doing over the phone. I called the 215 number back and got a recording saying it's an outsource company called Sykes.
