I got a call from 703-891-3288 while I was looking for a job sometime in October 2011. Caller ' s approach was so rude and inappropriate .  Sorry I can't recall his name as he was talking too fast. He gave me wrong company name where I used to work and was about to finishing my project there. He was asking me lot of personal info, my co workers , my supervisor's personal info and finally my ssn no.  In a word all of them are baseless and uncomfortable to me. After finishing up the call with him I checked the directory and found that he gave me the wrong company name where he did not work actually.I would say this is absolutely a scam, I don't care whoever is benefited from them. Please do not provide them all those personal info until you get a job offer through them!

Also got a call from James at Fortitude at the 703-891-3288
I did call him back before reading these posts to find out it is a call center.  Maybe job recruiter but I could hear people talking in the background the whole time I was talking to him.
He didn't know anything specific about the IT field that he was "recruiting" for.  I have specialty skills and when he finally answered the questions I asked about the "job openings" that he has, I don't have those skills.
I just thought he was a bad head hunter - just didn't know how to really match people's skills with the job opening.
But, after reading these posts I will stick with legitimate head hunters(staffing companies).

I got a 1-second "message" on my voicemail from this number today, and I've gotten hangups from them in the past. Apparently they are a shady, rude IT recruiting firm. I wouldn't use them if they doubled my salary (and I'm pretty sure they couldn't afford me anyway).

Not a scam, but indeed sketchy.  Their tactics are pushy and intrusive.  They are asking for way too much personal info right off the bat.  Do not give it to them.

pretty much a recruitment agency for technical positions. They called me after i recently posted my resume on Monster, so they probably scrape those sites for your info and try and get you hired somewhere (I'm betting they do this because they get a referral bonus or something for helping fill in open spaces). I can't say for sure if they are a scam or not, but I have seen these type of companies before (I know someone who got a job at a gov't contracting agency from a different recruiting agency).

It is not a scam. They get your information from job search sites that you have your information posted on. They are recruiters looking for people to fill open jobs.

This is a recruiting company looking for people to fill positions. They would have gotten your information via Monster or any other job search sites you have information posted on. It is not in anyway a scam they are just recruiters looking for people that are looking for a job.

I just received a call from Jimmy at Fortitude Systems for a network cable installer position. He was obviously looking at my resume that I had posted on a job search website because he mentioned the jobs that are on my resume and asked me about them. He asked me if I knew the difference between Cat5e and Cat6 network cables, if I had a security clearance. When I said I did not have clearance he said they can't hire me for this job then because it requires clearance.

I got a vm and returned the call. Not sure what the deal is but definitely shady. They will not talk about the hiring company or really what that company needs. The second time I was put on hold from this "recruiter" I hung up. Kept asking if I was still there. Charles, or Charlie as he called himself was the name given. I folks do get jobs from these guys good on ya. I personally couldn't take the rudeness and lack of information. Too much of a chance. FYI - I got blasted with the music as well!

Memory Blue has a website:  http://www.memoryblue.com/
Looks like a complete mock-up site, with all generic photos and graphics.
Lists the Founders as Marc Gonyea, and Chris Corcoran.
States that they OUTSOURCE INSIDE SALES.  It is a sales firm working with outsourced sales agents.

The completely off-the charts bad sales calls are likely a result of them hiring asshats with no experience to do the sales calls.

I picked up a call this morning from 703-891-3288 and immediately was blasted with rap music. A couple seconds passed and the caller turned down his "music" and said his name was Barry from Fortitude Systems. He started asking personal questions and so I asked for his name again and affiliation. He was annoyed at that. I asked him to send a job description and I would call back if interested. This guy is a creep and does not know anything about telephone manners.

It's a SCAM. Person's name Tyler, very aggressive, speaking over the poor quality VoIP line  trying to get your attention and collect personal data. He refuse to explain why he is calling or provide any information about their company or business.

Perhaps not a SCAM, but completely SKETCHY nonetheless. Danny was the caller. Referenced our account (which we've never had with this company) that he was taking over for someone else. Talked fast and wouldn't listen. Who's training these guys? I need a shower now.

I have been a contractor for 10 years and Fortitude just got me a job at a top top 3 government contractor.  They actually took the time to get to know me as opposed to these other companies that just send me an email saying we are going to submit you to this or that position.  I personally like that approach.  I honestly think a lot of these people complaining on here are people that didn't get the job at Fortitude's client.  They are shooting the messenger.

Just had a call from this guy named Paul from Fortitude and he asked everything about my personal information and said I was referred by someone.

He told me he needed my age, rank and serial # basically AND WANTED to know who i worked for at my previous job before even submitting me.  in all my days of contracting (15 years) I have never been approached by an IT Recruiter such as this!!!!!!!  He was too aggressive and wanted too much personal information ahead of time.

Left me a message.  The guy said his name was Jacob Fortitude.  Said my name was Jeremy which isn't and that I had left some sort of resume for a system administrator job.  I never created any resume for a system administrator job.  This call could be due to the wrong phone number.

I don't know if it is a scam or not.  But I didn't call back just because I wasn't the one they were looking for.

I have been a contractor in different SOC's since 1993- Northrop, BAE, Marriott, Sprint, CISCO, and now for the DOD.  Most of those companies only hire through temp-perm; you have to remember we are in IT and an interview doesn't exactly show what we can do, we have to show we can do it before they hire us.

ps- that is how these staffing companies work, they call you and find if you are going to be a good fit.

Not a scam.  I was contacted by fortitude and a couple of weeks later I was working as a fortitude employee in a contract job for 6 months to be hired.  They probably found your resume on Monster or another job site.  Some companies only hire through staffing firms, just an fyi.

This company is not an IT scam, they are an IT staffing firm. If you've ever worked as a contractor through a recruiting firm you'd know they aren't doing any out of the ordinary. A recruiter named Tyler called, talked to me about my experience, and within 3 days I was scheduled for a face to face interview and got the job. You guys must not have been good candidates for their positions!
