Key Bank Rewards Card - they left a message. You should have a call type: "Informational" - because none that you have fit this type of call. They merely left some info regarding my Rewards Debit Card.

If it is Service Magic, it is a scam. Service Magic in itself is a scam. Do not use this company. They set up false appointments.

Event Reminder
Received a call this morning on my work #, was a software company calling to invite me to a 'cocktail event' to be hosted in my area to have a discussion about their offerings.

Seems the # belongs to a company that makes scripted calls for who ever is 'renting' their services today.

It was called Service Magic, now they are called Home Advisor.
They advertise on internet and send you and 4 other companies leads.
A lot seem to be made up and they don't give credit without a fight.
They charge $20+ a lead to 5 companies that you compete with.
The one who calls first usually wins because they think they called them.
They mislead the customers.
AND whatever you do, DON'T do the exact match where you get the lead exclusively.
They will paste their 866 phone number over yours on all their "sister sites" including Citysearch, Judy's book, even all over Google, etc and then you'll be paying them their high rates (it costs more for the exact match program) even if you had a deal with the other companies at a lower rate.  I was paying Citysearch $7 per lead and then I had to pay Home Advisor $25.
It took me a year to get all my phone numbers corrected on these sites even after I cancelled the service.  I was losing tons of calls from those sites to a now disconnected phone number during that time.
Sadly they called me a few months later and said they would only advertise my number on the search engines and not Citysearch, etc.  I said ok and they FUKKD me again.
It took several months to get it fixed again.
They are Satan to me.
VERY SHADY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a call from this number asking for an estimate on a land survey.  I explained our company did remodeling not surveying, they asked if I knew of a surveyor which I did.  If they had identified who they were I would have been able to be more helpful but I had no idea who I was talking to.

It was a lead from Home Advisor./ formerly known as Service Magic.  Pick -up your potential customer is on the other end of the line, live.  Might as well get to him first since the lead goes out to more than just you.

Just to be clear, when I picked up the phone, the CLIENT was on the line, patched through to me by Homeadvisor/Service Magic.

I have a virtual assistant business and they left me a message saying they are looking for a virtual assistant for one of their client's who can answer and make calls and has a MAC. I called back but the lady who left me the message was on the phone so I left the message with someone else. On the voicemail the lady said she was calling from Black Card Conciege. When I called back they called themselves VIP Desk Vendor Line. Maybe it's the same thing, I dont know. Sounded legit to me.

It's the concierge desk for Visa Black Card / Chairman Card (outsourced to VIP Desk).

Customers call with requests to help find things and the concierge calls businesses they think can help.

Calls from this number are generally legitimate business calls.

Concierge services such as Visa Black Card, Chairman Card, etc. have concierges who help find things on behalf of their customers.

When I call or email with a request, they often call me back on this number. If you are a business and receive a call from these guys, they are trying to gather information relevant to their customer's request.

I use the Chairman Card Concierge service provided by American Express. I had called them to order me a gift basket, and they called me back shortly thereafter to verify something about my order from this phone number. It was a totally legitimate call.

If you are a service provider of some sort, these calls are likely legitimate calls from someone representing a prospective client.

I Googled it at first when I didn't recognize the number but definitely not a prank call.

Based on the questions asked, sounded like they were a marketing firm prospecting for leads. In my case they were looking for asbestos abatement and home renovation firms.

I work for Vipdesk and yes that is our Concierge service number-we are human and sometimes we do misdial numbers...but to be fair sometimes clients change phone numbers and don't update them with us. It's a great job and we do apologize if we get the wrong number-

They called and left no message. I tried calling back and the first time it was refused and the second, went through to a disengaged number. Wonder what their game is.

It is a Service Magic call.  When a homeowner goes on to the Service Magic web site to find a contractor but no contractors call them they then call Service Magic who forwards then directly to your business phone.  definetely service magic customers who need work done to their home or business.

They claim to represent a HIGH END client & need some specialty work done on behalf of the client-and claimed that the Fours Seasons Hotel referred them to me & also claimed they were talking to Paul Dean about doing the work-
I am a Pastry Chef-and I get calls from all over the US-so I have to really feel the call out to see if it's real or not-as I do get many requests being a specialy Pastry Shop in Roswell,Ga.
I thought is was sacm or some playing a joke-so I declined to do the work & referred them out-
There are so many people trying to take advantage of others now-it's a shame-so you can't take these calls very seroius now-

They called me from this number. Asked about my "lawn services". Left a local call back number, area code 916. They are a Service Magic  - like company that sells leads not by the lead but by time period..cash upfront......

Prank Call
Our lawn service company uses SM and I agree this is not their #. The caller asked for a lawn service quote and gave a bogus address in Austell, GA...when I tried to call the number back, it came up like I was dialing an international number.....I'm not sure what the deal is with this.
