Mine came in as a text message too. This is totally bogus! I've been getting these all week! Whatever you do, DO NOT CALL THEM!! It is obviously a spamming/phishing scheme!
The text message I got reads:
"eelkuj@messaging.sprintpcs.com / / FIRST CITY CU HasLimitedYourDebitCard. CallToReactivate:(703)956-5889"
Side note: I've gotten a few of these before about a month or so ago, but instead it came from messaging.tmobile.com (or something like that). The consistent link between them was that it had something to do with "First City Credit Union" or "1st City CU". (And FYI...I don't belong to a credit union at all!)

Got the phishing text message today. Asking me to call 703-956-5889 to reactivate my debit card which had been reduced by "First City Credit Union." Tried to call them to tell them to stop sending the damned texts, but just got a machine asking for my bank account number. Any idea how to make these calls stop?
| lisa 2011-06-06 20:54:57 Unknown |

Recv'd several of these text msgs regarding my "First City Debit card" (WTF is that?). I'll call the local FBI office off of Aero Dr. (San Diego) tomorrow, as well as the nearest office to the area code and prefix of the sender's phone number. That's all you can do, just do your best to turn the thieves in.
| TONNY 2009-11-25 01:47:44 Event Reminder |

Text message from zjorkz@messaging.sprintpcs.com saying "CO-OP Services has limited your Debit Card, Contact us Immediately at 202-742-1416." I received similar text message from 703-956-5889. I contacted Sprint and was informed that this message was not from them - obviously. They removed the text message charges from my account and blocked the numbers.

I didn't get calls, but I got a text message saying to call this number in order to re-activate my "card." When I call in, an automated system insists that you enter your debit card number in order to proceed. Yeah right!
