I called the number back after missing a call from this number and got a message saying "THIS NUMBER IS DISCONNECTED. YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED!"

they call every night around 830PM

Keep getting this call but I don't answer.

This is not a political forum.  We come to this site to find out if it is a scammer on the phone.  The have been enough debates and the profanity is just not needed.  Remember what this site is designed for.  Your vote is your business. Trying to find if a scammer on the line is all our business.

Simply put, you can vote for a Socialist or a Capitalist. History has proven that only one of these ends up working. Yes, I agree, the concepts of socialism sound great (the government is there to take care of you), but since humans are by nature lazy, it is doomed to fail. If you doubt me, look back at early American history, Jamestown. Choose carefully, our children will be reaping the consequences!

My answering machine got the call and all I heard when I played the message was some guy inquisitively saying "Hello?" twice.

I'm actively rooting for Obama, yet I had the same impression.  Can't imagine the actual campaign using that 4am infomercial voice.  Is there a way for us get regulators/investigators out after these people if it is a scam?

this is not a political call - its a fraudulent ( spoofed ) number exploiting the NorthEastern Hurricane to appeal to your kindness and rip you off ( just like the fraudsters after katrina) I've called the Atlanta field office of The FBI to report this crime. They cannot act on this fleecing-fraud because their too busy dealing with pre election issues. The subject number is phone based, fraudulent, credit card crime. to be clear about this - just call the number back. it it were to be legit, their would be operators standing-by to receive you call and accept you " donation" but instead you get " the number is out-of-service" -- the number is spoofed, the call is a fraud.

I get more ROBO calls from Nobama than romney. Obama screwed up and got our ambassador killed. Ill take Romney.

If you knew the names of all of the 300 million citizens of America, and you could choose any 2 of them to run against each other for the office of President, does anybody really think that Obama and Romney would make it to the top of the list of candidates? Of course, something like that could only happen in a democracy, and we don't have that.

I received a call from this number & they did NOT leave a message.  It could very well be a scam, because my Caller ID said it was a VIRGINIA CALL.

POS Romney campaign beggars.  Don't be fooled into voting for somebody who CANNOT explain his positions, and only tells you what he thinks you need to hear to vote for him!

This is a call saying the Romney campaign is in desparate need of $50 million because of hurricane Sandy.  Last week, (from a different number) they needed $50 million for another reason.  This has been going on for months.  It is a scam.  Previous call I got came from a Washington D.C. number.
