I had recently submitted my resume into a secured government site and soon after recieved a phone call from a young women named "Deepa". I had assumed it was for an interview for the job. Two days later I visited the address listed below for a follow up. After driving 45 minutes and being at this place for over an hour I soon discovered it was a classic pyramid scheme... DON'T BOTHER IT'S FAKE!!!!
Ugh.

This guy called me on my personal cell phone and left a message saying he has a wonderful job opportunity for me. I highly disliked that he said one of my friends gave him my number and that he knew my name. From what others have said, it makes me think he's a real piece of work.

I got a call from him today. He wanted to set up an interview for a managerial position at his company. All he said about the job was that it involved teaching. Very vague. I was suspicious of him so I asked where he got my contact info from, he replied "I get referrals from people. I use facebook, linkdn, resume sites." I don't use LinkedIn or resume sites and my number is not listed on facebook. I have although been posting a lot of adds on Craigslist. He sounds like a total scam. The address he gave me was for University of Fairfax.

Telemarketer
I posted an ad on Craigslist a few days ago to sell a few baby articles, and with hopes of selling them fast, I posted my phone number, I wrote "Please call to check availability" and I included a timeframe, so I won't get calls at 3am. The statement " it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests"  is very clear, unambiguous, and does not leave room for confusion, and it happens to be there, as well.

Then this guy calls, asking me if I have posted an ad on craigslist. Upon hearing my answer, he stated: "Well I'm not calling you for the ad, but to tell you that I have a business in the area and I'm lookin..."  I told him that I wasn't interested. He immediately replied, can I explain you about the business?  To which I stated: "No, and did you read the part wher it says it is not OK to contact me with commercial interests?" I then proceeded to hang up, as I heard his voice trying to say something else.
Notice to this individual:  Why would I want to have businesses with someone that does not follow a posted advise? How could I expect any returns from someone that has no respect for rules.  Well, I'm sure I'd get some returns, mail returned to sender when asking for my money back. Thanks but no thanks.  Better yet, Hell No!
