Anybody can call anybody, regardless if you are on the do-not-call list or not.  What's to stop them, especially if they are spoofing numbers.  You can't track them down especially if they have a store bought cell phone off the rack and load the number into a robo dialer.

My elderly mother is receiving calls from numbers associated with ISI Alarms. She hangs up after hearing their threatening message from the "FBI" that there have been numerous break-ins in our area. Since our numbesr are on the DNC, I just filed a complaint with the FCC and listed all the numbers that have shown up on her Caller ID. I suggest you do the same. I will not contact ISI to get a bs story from them. They are breaking the law and need to be stopped now.

Sales call - FREE Home security system. yeah right!! I am on the National DNC to begin with, but they still called. I chose to add myself to their own DNC from their options. So they called me from a different number today (503-468-5214) and it was the same IVR.

I mostly agree with the DNC Register not being any help at all... I'm now on my 106th call since I started loggin my incoming calls from these Telemarketers. Some hang up when I answer and some have these robo messaged, and some may leave a voice mail if I let it go to my voice mail system.
I've reported most all of these 106 calls, and have yet to hear back one time from the DNC People.
I'm sure Obama has not funded them, and may even be out of business by now. The suck up news medias would not report it I'm sure. Call is about "Home Security Sign"

Got call, left incomplete message if I do or do not want to receive further calls from them.

Recording mentioned a home security system and wanting me to place a sign in my yard for a GE security system.  Said to press 9 to be placed on their do not call list.

I got 2 calls this week.  Decided to have fun the third time.  Answered, got a young lady on the phone.  After 15 seconds of hearing her sales pitch, I sai "Can I ask you a question?"  She said sure.  I said "I am naked, what are YOU wearing?"  I had to repeat myself, then SHE hung up on ME!

I've gotten to a point where I save the numbers in my contacts, then change the ring to "no ring".  They never leave a message anyways.  Donotcall.gov doesn't seem to be taking any action unfortunately despite multiple filings for other calls.  I don't answer anything anymore that's not from my immediate area code :(

Quit complaining and just dont answer the phone.  These calls WILL NOT stop.  They are spoofing numbers.  Find something else to complain about ... oh wait this is America land of the free ... to do as we wish.  Stop wasting the air we breath with your constant complaining

No measage, just 4 missed calls on my cell phone. When I returned the call, I got a voice recording saying,"This number is no longer in service.".

Don't worry everyone....the spammers have started blowing up my phone. So you're all safe for now.

I am 20 years old, in college, and still live with my parents. They called me twice today, and have called me 4 times before. I am unsure how they got my number but this is getting very annoying, seeing as I am obviously do not fit the target market for their product.

Me too. Received a call from this number. Didn't answer. I've started blocking calls like this if I get more than one. Verizon lets you do that. I bet the other carriers do as well. Block 'em.

I recorded the phone company's "no longer in service" tones and recording (found easily on the internet) onto a digital recorder.  Whenever I get these calls I answer and start the recording. Apparently their robo-call systems sense those tones and remove your number because I have not got multiple calls (which I used to ignore) from "unknown" callers.  I have filled the 30 number call block with repetetive callers, but have started taking them off when I am able to be handy to use the digital recorder on them. It does seem to be working!

I keep getting calls from the number 704-200-9912 and we are on the do not call list.  Please check into this.

yhis call is a recording about security and FBI. when you call it back an operator says its a non working number.

Why not give them an 'alternative number' to reach you at...then give them the State Attorney General office number.  That might wake up some people at the state capitol.
