This just happened to me with a 650 area code which is south Dakota
I didn't answer the call and when I re-dialed it was out of service....I think it is best not to answer an unknown call
received several calls on caller ID-when I tried to call back the number is no longer in service
When I called this number back I got "This number is no longer in service"
forgot to add the phone number of the pest that called..704-248-2961
If you can do something..someone..please...
please if you can do something about pain in the butt..unwanted calls...thanks..
Calls numerous times a week and leaves no message
it's a dude selling Vegas resort vacation packages. He's probably calling 50 people at once and hangs up on active calls as soon as someone answers on another line. Standard telemarketer practice. This guys has to be the WORST salesman I've ever heard, he just drones on and on without providing you an opportunity to end the conversation politely. I hung up on him. I felt bad because he sounded older. It has to suck trying to make a living as a telemarketer. :(
Keeps calling my phone, when I call the number back a recording comes on saying the number is not in service. How can that be, they just called me from that number!!
They call me at work,I just hit the ignore button on my phone. They never leave a message. I really wish this would stop.
I got a call from this number and because I have family in that area code, I answered. The person on the other end asked for my son or his wife (by name). She claimed it was an offer to visit a resort and receive a $300 credit. My son (18) apparently had gone to a meeting in which this outfit was soliciting participants and gave them my number rather than his own. Even though I told the woman that she had the wrong number, I'm still receiving calls from them. She was really nervous and flustered when I was asking her what the call was about.
They called 9/29 & 9/30 no one on the line?
Repeated phone calls from this number. No message left.
For the owners of the number - if it's important enough to call me, then leave a message with a phone number I can reach you at. I do not answer numbers I do not recognize. If you leave a message, I will call back.
Get several calls a week. I refuse to answer as they won't listen.
From what I have seen in the previous posts, it may be a burglary ring attempting to establish a pattern when someone is in the house. I would be extremely cautious answering the phone if this number repeatedly calls and does not answer when you do.
Got a call, no body there
I am used to this now. Since I have gone on vacation and used RCI or anywhere in the south USA affiliated to RCI.
Very common thing that everyone does in the USA:
1) give your SSN to anyone who asks for it. (This is a NO NO in Canada)
2) give your phone number to whoever asks for it.
I made the mistake #2.
now I get calls from 704-248-2961; 919-595-4892; 843 249-8746; 716-829-7367 and the list goes on and on....
and yet they are all the same. or they try to sell you vacation spots telling you that there is $500 waiting for you. Not to mention the rudeness on the phone.
Don't give your numbers any more especially SSN. no matter if you have to rent a place. I am sure there are other forms of insurabce available.
Put me on the no call list. They upset my 88 year old mother.
I got the call too but I was on another call and couldn't talk.. when I got back to my phone - noone was there. I'm glad I picked it up though because if they get my message, they will have my name. Hopefully they just won't call me anymore.
I actually just spoke to someone and they are a company trying to sell vacations.. "for only $200 you can get this and this and this and this...".. When I told them "I appreciate the offer, but financially i'm not able to do that right now" the guy hung up on me. Ha.
Same as everyone else, pick up and no response. CID says "North Carolina Call."
I just got a call from this number - said it was Ken from "preferred Vavations Resorts" in Las Vegas and I had a $500 vacation credit, he said it was possibly from a holiday I had cancelled and I could now use it now. I said No Thanks!
These people keep calling me; when I answer they just hang up.
Have received two calls, both at 11:30pm, from this number in the last couple of weeks. First caller said she did not know what time it was where she was calling, as she was calling from a computer; second caller did not speak but there were background noises. Both calls woke up the whole household.
Same as the others they called asked for my husband and hung up when I asked who was calling.
I too, get these calls on my cell phone regularly. I am, today, reporting this to the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau.
just got this call and picked it up. calling from Prestige Vacation of some sort and probably trying to promote time shares. before they got even further, told them i'm not interested and they seemed to be snubbed off about it. annoying!
This number has been calling my cell phone for about a week now. I know nobody in North Carolina. There is no reason I should be getting a call from there.
Also, when I answer it nobody speaks. I can here people in the background talking, but as soon as I answer they hung up on me. I called back and got a recorded message stating all the agents are busy, and that I must leave my name and number to be removed from the list. There is no reason I should be on their list, and I also don't want them to know my name (if they don't already - they already have my number somehow.)
I feel like this is some sort of scam, and would like to quit receiving calls from whoever it is.
I got a call and they asked for my name! I said you got the wrong number there and he hung upp. when i phoned on that number to say stop calling me. there was a answering machine saying " all our agents are busy. If oyu want to remove your number from list, please leave a message with ur name and number : how annoying
