I've received several calls from this number in the last 3 days. The caller ID says Duke Energy. They must be buying this list from someone, because they know your first name. I'm assuming it's the same anti-abortion group that's called other posters here, but I don't answer. If they're a scam, the FCC should investigate. However, if they're a legitimate charity, there's nothing we can do (other than block the number), because charities aren't subject to following the DNC. I would question, though, why any legitimate concern would spoof another company's phone number.

Called both landline and cell phone, twice. Did not pick up and blocked call on landline. But these people have multiple numbers to circumvent blocks. Caller id just said "charlotte, nc".

The same message was on my phone when I answered...I just hung up.  I absolutely will not hold for a call such as this.  Now that I know the number I will not answer any subsequent calls..they will just go to the answering machine.

I kept getting calls from this number and caller ID said Duke Energy.  I didn't answer because we don't use Duke Energy and they would hang up without leaving a message.  Finally, yesterday I answered just so I could tell them to stop calling me.  The woman, asking for me by name, started reading and asking me about my opinion on abortion.  I interrupted her, told her the caller ID showed Duke Energy and ask her if she worked for Duke Energy.  She started over again reading the material in front of her.  I told her to stop reading and answer my question...Do you work for Duke Energy?  She said no.  I told her to stop calling me.  She hung up.  What is the scam here?

Called no message. Caller ID Duke Energy. Reported to Duke Energy. They have no such number.  ID most likely spoofed so calls will be answered.  Block them

Caller ID said Duke Energy.  I was on a call I wanted to be on so did not take it.  They left a message on my machine but it was a "blank" one.  Called back the number and said this number could not be reached.  Very odd.  If it was about abortion, that is VERY strange.

Called several times, including today, Sunday.  Answering machine picked up.  Message by a foreign woman speaking in English said "Thank you for calling.  One of our representatives will be with you shortly, " The another lady came on and asked for my wife by name.

Same as reported, except I'm not like you baby-killing bigots.  Still, it's a dishonest company and you shouldn't pay attention to them.

Caller ID said Duke Energy. She knew my name.   She said "calling on behalf of saving unborn babies", etc.  I said why is Duke Energy (the largest energy company in America) interested in that?   She said "I'm sorry, are you pro choice or pro life?'  I said "I'm not anti-choice which you should rightfully call it, but why Duke Energy?"  She hung up.  I called back with this call cannot be completed as dialed.  I'm reporting to Duke Energy as well, whom by the way are one of largest polluters in America.

I just received a call from this number, let the answer machine answer it, a lady came on; after a brief recorded message; and said a name and then hung up.

Received calls yesterday and again today from phone with caller ID = DUKE ENERGY.  Apparently they are (at least) soliciting or surveying for opinion concerning ABORTION.  (Upon hearing this we hung up.)  Somehow the source new (at least) my first name, because they asked to speak to me.  The number of originating caller was 704 503 8201.

Caller ID was Duke Energy.  704 503 8201   Never heard of them.  I did not answer and no message was left.   Idiots never give up.   On a Sunday no less.  Damn cheeky b*****ds.. Hope they catch them all and throw their scamming butts in jail.

They attempted to solicit funds to deny a woman's right to reproductive choice.
We immediately reported this to Duke Energy.

The caller said it was about stopping women getting abortions I just hung up
